Stabilizing plaques as preditor response of temporomandibular dysfunction: brief review

Introduction: Temporomandibular disorders, which cause anatomical changes in TMJ structures, are capable of promoting degenerations on the disc surface and in the articular bones. DTM has an incidence of more than 2.0 million cases per year in Brazil and is considered a dysfunction of multifactorial etiology. Objective: The aim of this study was to brief review of the literature and discuss the main factors supporting the temporomandibular dysfunctions and your main predictors.

Home automation system using mobile phone

This paper enumerates the effective technique for us to control the house, industrial or office appliances and various electrical and electronics appliances via cell phone. Our work is based on AVR Atmega 16 microcontroller. The knowledge of embedded system has been utilized. Our project proposes an efficient system for home automation with the use of AVR Atmega 16 microcontroller paired with Dual Tone Multi Frequency Convertor (DTMF). The scheme provides wireless control of various appliances used in house, industry or office.

Impact of selected feed additives on reeling traits of mulberry silkworm hybrid pm × csr2 at farmers field condition

Field study was undertaken to know the impact of standardized feed additives on reeling traits of silkworm hybrid, Bombyx mori L. PM × CSR2. Silkworm hybrid were reared on mulberry leaves fortified with feed additives flour combination of horse gram + grain amaranthus (50:50) dusting on leaves lead to significantly longer filament length, higher cocoon filament weight, superior denier, lower sericin content, higher fibroin content and renditta, in chosen farms of three farmers each in selected five villages of Kolar district.

Impact of standardized feed additives on reeling traits of mulberry silkworm hybrids csr2 × csr4 and nd7 × csr2 (jayalakshmi)

Among nine different flours of feed additives tested the silkworm hybrids CSR2 × CSR4 and ND7 × CSR2 (Jayalakshmi) in combination of Horse gram + Grain Amaranthus flour (50 : 50) recorded significantly maximum reeling traits, viz., higher per cent raw silk recovery (21.45, 21.41; 15.55, 15.48), per cent neatness (95.58,95.51; 91.25, 91.17), per cent cleanliness (97.45,97.36; 96.13, 96.05), lower sericin per cent (20.23, 20.38 p; 22.23, 22.29) and higher fibroin per cent (79.75, 79.61; 77.76, 77.69) respectively, when provided from fourth instar up to spinning in both hybrids.

Significance of standardized feed additives on cocoon traits of mulberry silkworm hybrids csr2 × csr4 and nd7 × csr2 (jayalakshmi)

The silkworm hybrids CSR2 × CSR4 and ND7 × CSR2 (Jayalakshmi) reared on mulberry shoots supplemented separately with dusting of nine different feed additives along with unsupplemented control maintained, showed that inclusion of 5g / 10 g flour of Horse gram + Grain Amaranthus (50 : 50) daily once in feeding schedule recorded significantly maximum cocoon weight, shell weight, pupal weight, rate of pupation and dry cocoon weight.

The outcomes after the use of bier’s block for the manipulation of distal radius fractures in the emergency department

Purpose: Our aim was to identify what proportion of patients can achieve a satisfactory reduction with Bier’s block that can be treated non-operatively. Methods: All patients who received a Bier’s block in Emergency department in 2015 were identified using electronic patient databases. Results: 92% or 60 out of 65 patients had radiological improvement in their fracture position post-manipulation, 2 out of 5 patients had radiological improvement in fracture position continued to be managed non-operatively. 12 out of 65 patients receiving Bier’s block manipulation went on to need surgery.

Lisfranc injury in adolescents an uncommon case report

Purpose: We describe the case of a 12 years old girl who suffered a condition, after she had suffered a trauma in her anterior aspect of her left forefoot in the position of plantar flexion during a sport activity. Which was treated in our hospital. Methods: Under general anesthesia, an open reduction and internal fixation was performed with K-wires in cross configuration and was immobilized in a below-knee cast. Results: She was discharged home the following day without bearing weight. 5 weeks post-operatively, K-wires and cast were removed and she was allowed to walk with two crutches.

Role of bharangyadi kwath in the cases of visham jwara (malaria)

Malaria is a protozoal disease transmitted by the Anopheles mosquito, caused by minute parasitic protozoa of the genus Plasmodium, which infect human and insect hosts alternatively. There are four species of the genus plasmodium responsible for the malaria parasite infections that commonly infect man, P.falciparum, P.vivax, P.malariae and P.ovale. The most important of these is P.falciparum because it can be rapidly fatal and is responsible for the majority of malaria related deaths.

Comparative studies of silk worm spieces in ambikapur distt surguja (c.g.)

Sericulture also known as silk farming where the silkworm arereared to produce silk. There are varities of silk prouduced all over the world. This article throws an insight into the cultivation of silkworm and creation of the beautifully refined silk. Many cottage and small scale textile industries, agriculture outputs includings, engage in such farm- based labour intensive commercial economic activity providing employment to the rural farmers and attracts profit seeking entre preneurs as it requires low investment with relatively higher returns and the production of high quality textiles.
