The paper attempts to analyze the status of women empowerment and women political participation in Surat urban area. In present times, empowerment of women has become one of the most important concerns of 21th century because of their right to participate in political processes which also impact their family and in turn the society. Countries are making attempt to increase women’s political participation and leadership in civil society and now political parties want more women to join in political activities.

Digital inclusion process in Brazil and its social transformation impacts

Definition and implantation of national policies to reduce digital exclusion involve organizational, social and management aspects. In Brazil, in view of socioeconomic, cultural, geographical, and demographical differences, implanting such policies means bringing into focus scenarios that compromise problems already discussed in the published literature with respect to Information Systems in Developing Countries. Determine the factors influencing dots compliance among tuberculosis patients of selected dots centers of Ludhiana, Punjab

India has more new TB cases annually than any other country. The present study aimed to determine the factors influencing compliance to DOTS in tuberculosis patients and to ascertain the relationship of factors with selected variables. The Quantitative research approach and non-experimental exploratory research design was used and study carried out in selected DOTS centers. Total 110 tuberculosis patients taking DOTS were chosen by Purposive sampling technique. Self structured checklist was used to determine the factors influencing DOTS compliance among tuberculosis patients.

The perception of climate change and coping strategies among rural farming households in bouaflé area, cote d’ivoire

The District of Bouafle is a major agricultural production areas in Côte d'Ivoire, but this production is entirely dependent on weather conditions. This study examines the perception of farmers about current climate variability and compare that perception with respect to climate data over the last 30 years. It also assesses the evolution of forest cover and adaptation measures. It is based on a survey of farmers, interviews with officials of the forest administration and agriculture, and focus group.
