Monitoring the oxidative stress in hairdressers' in exposure to the vapors from the dyes of the hair, by analysis of salivary malondialdialdeyde with the use of Dipsticks

OBJECTIVES: The objective of this study is determinate with a semi quantitative method (dipsticks), the oxidative stress, produced by exposure to dyes of hairdressers, measuring the concentration of salivary malondialdehyde (MDA). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Saliva samples are provided by the hairdressers and a control group. The values of MDA are determinate using dipsticks, in a range ≤ 3 and ≥ 7 nM / ml, and For 14 random samples of saliva, the MDA, was also determined spectrophotometrically.

An efficient and improved performance for keyword searching in larger databases

Keyword Search is an emerging field and other way of dealing with traditional SQL querying in relational database with larger datasets. Keyword search as possible in co-related database simply you can type in words that describe your research topic and retrieve records containing those search terms. Keyword search enable user to produce result in easy way does not having a detailed knowledge about either schema or complex query languages. At present work on single database use keyword query search but user need to access more than one database.

Morphological variations and clinical applications of Palmaris longus muscle: A cadaveric study

The Palmaris longus muscle is the most suitable autograft material for various reconstructive surgeries. Keeping this in view the present cadaveric study was undertaken. The study was carried out in the Department of Anatomy, JSS Medical College, Mysore, Karnataka State, India. The Palmaris longus muscle was dissected in 30 adult embalmed cadavers (60 limbs), 10 females and 20 males, the average age of the cadavers was between 40-60 years.

LPS-challenged mice kidney and modulatory effect of Simvastatin

Background: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is recognized by the innate immune system. This study was designed to investigate the effects of simvastatin on LPS-induced renal oxidative and immunological changes of mice. Methods: Male Swiss mice were injected with LPS (1 mg/kg; i.p.) and the effects of pretreatment with simvastatin (10 mg/kg; i.p.) on LPS-induced renal failure and kidney pathology were examined 3 hours post LPS injection. Plasma concentrations of urea, creatinine and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity as well as kidney contents of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and IL-10 were assessed.

Purpose: The main objective of this study is to find out the level of consumer awareness about online shopping in Saudi Arabia. The study also aims to compare the awareness level about online shopping between Saudi and Non Saudi consumers. The study aims to suggest the needed action for enhancing the online shopping activity in the country. Methodology: The study was based on primary data collected from 400 respondents residing across the country in Saudi Arabia.

Child behaviour anxious problem among school going children of Lucknow City

Anxiety is a normal part of childhood, and every child goes through phases. When children become anxious more easily, more often and more intensely than other children, they may be diagnosed with an anxious disorder. Having an anxious (‘internalizing’ behaviour) temperament often means that children react more to threats in the environment. The 20% primary schools from each zone were selected from the list based on the availability and permission granted by the school authorities to conduct the study.
