Correlation of vitamin d level with different components of metabolic syndrome

Objecive: The objective of the study to investigate the correlation between vitamin D level with different components of metabolic syndrome. Patients and Methods: An observational cross-sectional study on 100patients (male=55 and female=45), age range 30-60 year, was performed. Patients underwent physical examination and biochemical testing. Patients included who fulfill the IDF criteria of metabolic syndrome for South Asians. Analysis was performed using SPSS Statistical package for windows (SPSS VERSION 20).

Main predictors for aesthetic dental implant: brief review

The use of implants as a replacement for lost or missing teeth have been reported in the literature as a good therapy and survival rates of success. Currently, in addition to matters related to the oral physiological functions, visual appearance and aesthetics have been addressed as an important factor in this type of therapy. Thus, the aim of this study was to review the literature and discuss the main factors supporting the aesthetic excellence before and after the rehabilitation of former regions, the use of dental implants.

Effectiveness of swedish massage therapy on blood pressure among patients with hypertension at saveetha medical college hospital

Aim of the study: to determine the effectiveness of Swedish massage therapy on blood pressure among patients with hypertension in experimental group. Background: High blood pressure (BP) is a major public health problem in India and its prevalence is rapidly increasing among both urban and rural populations. In fact, hypertension is the most prevalent chronic disease in India. The higher the pressure in blood vessels the harder the heart has to work in order to pump blood.

Classroom management for effective teaching skills among new teachers and academic achievement among elementary students

Classroom management has been a primary concern for teachers since there have been teachers in the classroom. A lack of classroom management affects both the teacher and the students. This study explores classroom management tactics to help improve the academic achievement of elementary school students. Studies show that some form of intervention makes a positive impact on teachers, students, and the whole school climate. Teachers need to personally connect with each student in the classroom in order to make students feel comfortable and welcome.

Evaluation of antimicrobial potential of endophytic fractions of mentha piperita against pathogenic microbes

Endophytic microorganisms asymptomatically colonize healthy plant tissues and may be related to the plant's resistance to attack by pathogens or even to the synthesis of secondary metabolites. The present study was aimed at isolating and characterizing endophytic strains from the leaves, stems and roots (aerial and non aerial parts) of Mentha piperita (Lamiaceae). Coarse and fine leaves, stems and root fragments after surface sterilization with internal procedures were collected to isolate endophytes.

Hmm-dnn speech recognition techniques: a review

This paper presents a view about the HMM-DNN hybrid approach for speech recognition. Speech recognition is becoming an active research area in the field of computer science. Many researchers have developed a good deal of methods and techniques for speech recognition. A new trend is to use hybrid approaches for this particular task. One of this hybrid approaches is to use a combination of HMM-DNN and the result is found to be quiet successful. From study it has been found that the above approach outperforms the other traditional methods like GMM-HMM.

Parametric analysis of hybrid amplifiers (edfa and raman amplifier) on 40gbps on 8 users wdm system

To fulfill the need of higher bandwidth, increased number of users, increased speed of communication of current users, the WDM and fiber optic concept was developed. WDM stands for wavelength division multiplexing where many input signals are combined together and transfers as a single input. Multiplexing and de-multiplexing concepts are used in WDM. WDM system consist of amplifiers that are used to increase the performance of the optical fiber system. This study give information about the working of Hybrid amplifiers i.e.

Asymptotic analysis of stoichiometric hydrogen- air flames

This paper shows a mechanism for hydrogen combustion, an important submechanism in hydrocarbon oxidation and biofuels. Once exposed the equations derived from the chemical kinetics and concentration rates of each species involved, the complete mechanism of hydrogen oxidation is displayed. The strategy for obtaining a reduced mechanism with two reactions consists of four steps. This method involves the use of assumptions of steady-state for species and partial equilibrium for reactions.

Impact on memory utilization with deadline i/o scheduler customization

The goal of this study was to quantify memory utilization under varying work load for plain text file systems to database system with customization of existing deadline I/O scheduler. The investigation identified possibility of performance enhancement by modifying existing deadline I/O scheduler by optimizing rearrangement of blocks numbers from kernel to device drivers where the sequence of block numbers undergoes clustering via k-means clustering and later re-arranged so the disk's head movement is minimized.
