Old age refers to ages nearing or surpassing the life expectancy of human beings, and is thus the end of the human life cycle. Old people often have limited regenerative abilities and are more susceptible to disease, syndromes, injuries and sickness than younger adults. A Quantitative research approach and pre-experimental one group pre- test post-test design was used to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme (STP) on age related problems and health Promotion strategies among care givers of elderly in selected area of Jalandhar, Punjab.

Acting in the capacity as both official sworn translators and university professors, we have been witnessing to the issue that legal documents are troublesome specialised instruments with a relevant rate of paired expressions. The same could be said of Divorce Decrees, either issued in the UK or in the US, since they provide us with a significant diversity of doublet and triplet expressions. Hence, they pose a threat for translation trainees, and even for professional translators, since they can resort to somewhat literal translations that might not prove as fluent as the source text.

From triumph to defeat: a qualitative analysis of the new Patriotic party’s (NPP) 2024 Electoral loss in Ghana: Exploring the Political, Economic and Social Dynamics

This study examines the 2024 electoral defeat of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), exploring the political, economic, and social dynamics that contributed to this pivotal event. Using Social Choice Theory as a guiding framework and a qualitative research approach, the study incorporates data from interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The findings reveal that economic hardships, such as high inflation, unemployment, and currency depreciation, significantly undermined public confidence in the NPP’s leadership.

Background: Endotracheal suctioning (ETS) is one of the most common procedure performed in patients with artificial airways. It is a component of bronchial hygiene therapy and mechanical ventilation that involves the mechanical aspiration of pulmonary secretions from a patient’s artificial airway to prevent its obstruction the procedure includes patient preparation, the suctioning event, post procedure care. Tracheobronchial suctioning using the closed suctioning system has physiological benefits for critically ill patients.

A study to assess the Effectiveness of Information Booklet on Knowledge Regarding Cholelithiasis disease and its Spyglass Treatment among staff Nurses in selected Hospital at Bangalore

Cholelithiasis, commonly known as gallstones, is a prevalent condition that often requires treatment such as Spyglass cholangioscopy, a minimally invasive procedure. Nurses play a crucial role in educating patients and assisting in procedures, which highlights the need for adequate knowledge regarding the disease and its treatments. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of an information booklet in enhancing the knowledge of staff nurses regarding cholelithiasis and its Spyglass treatment.

Fundamento:A hipertensão arterial sistêmica é uma doença com alta prevalência e baixas taxas de controle. A saúde privada por meio dos planos de saúde vem sendo estimuladaa realizar programas de promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças. Objetivo: Verificar os efeitos de um programa de acompanhamento ao hipertenso no contexto de um serviço de saúde suplementar. Método: Estudo quase experimental, do tipo antes e depois,realizado com pacientes que deram entrada no programa desetembro de 2016 a fevereiro 2017.

Estimating a garch model for gold price Returns: A Bayesian Approach

The frequency of rerun of any stock consistently fluctuates due to the competing forces of supply and demand responding to changes in the share prices by investors. Historically, gold prices have generally produced favourable returns during both challenging and thriving times, positioning gold as a means for safeguarding and enhancing wealth. In this study, we present a Bayesian Generalized Auto-Regressive Conditional Heteroskedastic (GARCH) volatility model for daily gold price returns based on the most recent 2500 daily prices.

The role of the client in Coopetition Between Very Small Business (VSB)

This paper attempts to study the roles of a client, other than buyer and/or final consumer, in a coopetitive activity between alternative transport VSB. Our approach is constructivist with a mixed quali-quanti methodological approach. We adopt inductive reasoning. The primary data were collected from a 22-question questionnaire administered face-to-face to 335 clients at the place where the activity was based. Multivariate qualitative comparative analysis (mvQCA) was used to model these client roles.
