The benedito leite public library and its interfaces with memory, cultural heritage and Identity of Maranhão, Brazil
Investigation about the cultural appropriation resulting from the mediation of information performed by the Benedito Leite Public Library (BPBL), as well as to reflect on its role and the resignification of its cultural practices, managers and mediators of the cultural heritage of São Luís, MA. It uses bibliographic and documentary research to address public libraries, cultural, material and immaterial heritage. It reinforces the struggle of the BPBL as an organism responsible for preserving the memory, heritage and identity of the Ludovicense population.
