Does sprout control treatments affect qualitative interactions analysis onfried chips of sweet potatoes cv. BRSrubissol?

Sweet potatoes roots have become the focus of research in the past recent years due to their unique nutritional and functional properties. Under Brazilian climate conditions, sweet potato cultivar BRS Rubissol has high yield on average 40 tonnes per hectare and presents excellent quality for industrial processing; however, when the roots are stored at room temperature, the shelf life is over in two to four weeks due to the sprouting and weight loss (withered).

Differences of frequencies of religious practices in a group of elderly octogenary in the federal district - Brazil

Aim: to investigate elderly octogenarians who declared themselves to be Catholic and Evangelical regarding sociodemographic aspects and health conditions, religious conping and the declared frequencies of private and public religious practices. Materials and methods: observational, correlational, descriptive, quantitative and qualitative cross-sectional study, carried out in the research project database “Patterns of cognitive and psychosocial physical aging in long-lived elderly people living in different contexts”.

Alternative substrates in the rooting of cuttings bougainvillea spectabilis

The present work aimed to evaluate different proportions of decomposed babassu stem in the composition of substrates for vegetative propagation of bougainville. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD), with six treatments and four replications totaling 24 plots. The substrate (S) used was soil based with decomposed babassu stem (DBS), in the following proportions: 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% of DBS, plus soil.

Les connaissances sur la biodiversité mondiale sont fondamentales pour la conservation. Dans la région de Dakar (Sénégal) en particulier au sein de l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop a été créé un Jardin Botanique d’une superficie de 3 ha dont l’objectif été de conserver la flore du Sénégal dans son ensemble. Cependant, ce Jardin Botanique n’a pas atteint son objectif du fait d’un ensemble de contraintes parmi lesquelles un manque d’information sur sa liste floristique.

Substratos à base de caule decomposto de babaçuzeiro (Attalea speciosa Mart.) para a produção de mudas de pitangueira

Objetivou-se com esse estudo avaliar o crescimento e o desempenho de mudas de pitangueira cultivadas em substratos com diferentes proporções de caule decomposto de babaçuzeiro (CDB). Adotou-se o delineamento inteiramente casualizado com 6 tratamentos e 4 repetições, referentes as proporções de CDB, acrescido de solo (Latossolo Amarelo distrófico), descritos da seguinte forma: S1=0% CDB; S2=20% CDB; S3=40% CDB; S4=60% CDB; S5=80% CDB; S6=100% CDB.

Performance test of granulated potassium chloride with humic acids addition

The objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of granulated fertilizers based on potassium chloride with humic acids in the production of dry matter and the accumulation of macronutrients in corn plants. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse, using soil samples from the 0-20 cm depth layer of a Planossoloháplico.

Determination of blood parameters of breeding pigs in Côte D’Ivoire

The purpose of this work is to determine the serum parameters and the hemogram of pigs reared in Côte d'Ivoire. This study involved 70 pigs (Large white, Landrace, Duroc, Pietrain, hybrid, Korhogo pig breeds) made up of 35 castrated males and 35 gilts from 14 farms whose ages vary between 8 and 10 months with an average live weight of 89.1 ± 13.6 kg. These animals, coming mainly from farms in the South, were selected at random. The blood of these animals was collected from the jugular vein in tubes with anticoagulant and tubes without anticoagulant and then analyzed in the laboratory.

A study of the length of popliteal artery in thiel cadaver and clinical applications

The length of popliteal arteries might vary according to ethnicity and geographical locations. This study intends to examine the length of the popliteal artery and the associated clinical significances. 24 popliteal regions of 12 Thiel embalmed cadavers between the ages of 32 and 110 years were cut-up to expose the origin, termination and important landmarks and were then photographed and measured.

Knowledge of nursing professionals about flowchart in accidents with biological materials

Objective: To analyze the knowledge of nursing team about the flowchart in accidents with biological materials in the Family Health Strategy. Methods: Descriptive, observational research, with a quantitative approach, carried out with 23 nursing professionals working in Family Health Strategies in the city of Farias Brito - Ceará, Brazil. Data collection occurred in August and September 2019, through the application of a Checklist and a questionnaire. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (IBM SPSS) program was used for data analysis.

Model based irrigation water application of maize (zeamays l.) to improve water productivity in irrigated agriculture

Under the semiarid and arid climate of Eastern Europe, accurate estimation of crop water requirement and irrigation scheduling is important for water management and planning. The objectives of this study were to estimate maize water requirement and irrigation scheduling in variable climatic conditions.
