Caractérisation de la flore ornementale des communes de malincounda et de saly-portudal (Mbour, Thiès, Sénégal)

L’agriculture périurbaine à travers le maraichage constitue le grenier des grandes villes. Au-delà de cet aspect, elle regorge une filière importante dont le développement suscite de plus en plus d’intérêts. Il s’agit de la floriculture dont l’expansion dans les grandes villes du Sénégal n’est plus négligeable. A Mbour, en raison du tourisme, les pépinières de plantes ornementales prolifèrent dans le département. Toutes de même, le potentiel floristique de ces dites pépinières est peu connu. C’est ainsi que cette étude vise à caractériser la flore ornementale de la zone.

Throughout Brazil and also in the world, fruit growing remains one of the activities that stand out most in the following: economic and social aspects. Cashew is a fruit that has great representation in the food industry, however, only its chestnut has been well explored. The jams are a potential example to develop new products in the face of good acceptance in the consumer market, also, pepper is considered as a condiment known worldwide, improving and highlighting the aroma and flavor of products.

The role of selenium in the protection against oxidative stress in patients with chronic renal disease

Studies have shown the participation of minerals, such as selenium, involved in the antioxidant defense of patients with chronic kidney disease. Therefore, the purpose of this review is to provide data on nutrient participation in the control of the antioxidant defense system in individual’s withchronic renal disease. A search of articles published in the PubMed and ScienceDirect database selected from March 2017 to February 2019 was performed using the keywords Selenium, Selenium supplementation, Oxidative stress, Antioxidant and Chronic Kidney Disease.

The toponyms and their meanings among the basa’a people: towards a preservation of cultural and ancestral heritage

The meaning of toponyms among the Basa’a people helps demystify toponymy and as a result, highlights its interest and cultural value. As a science, typonymy is not an exclusivity observed only amidst African peoples even less among the Basa'a. Therefore, every place has its own name that makes the difference with other places around the world. Among the Basa'a people, typonymy give praises to the people as well as social events, ferocious or mild animals and so on. Here, the name of a village for example is more often than of one common ancestor, explaining the filiation relationship.

Interessantemente, enquanto novos compostos foram descobertos, a ciência se voltou ao passado, trazendo à luz alguns bioativos descontinuados há décadas, contudo bastante prescritos nas primeiras terapias antimicrobianas. A cafeína exemplifica umas destas moléculas de interesse.

The impact of covid-19 on world’s mental health: an integrative review

COVID-19 (Corona Vírus Disease-2019) is a sharp disease caused by the new Corona Vírus that can be lethal, it has affected more than 200 countries, causing countless illnesses and deaths. One of the coping measures is the isolation, needed to contain the diseases’s spread. However, it can generate psychological suffering, compromising the mental health of the population.

Nursing care in perioperative complications at the surgical center

It is an integrative literature review to assess national scientific productions about nursing care in perioperative complications. The search took place in the MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF databases, using the descriptors: nursing care, surgical nursign and operating rooms. The sample consisted of 20 articles and analyze in 2 thematic categories. The following criteria were chosen for inclusion of the studies: full texts and available in full, free of charge; published from 2009 to 2019, in portuguese, english and spanish.

Humanization of nursing care in the surgical center: challenges in its application

It is an integrative review of literature carried out in the databases BVS, LILACS, BDENF and SciELO, through the descriptors: patient safety; surgical nursing; surgery Center; perioperative nursing and nursing care. The objective of this study is to analyze the current scientific evidence regarding the practice of nurses in promoting the safety of the surgical patient that enables safe care with less occurrence of potentially preventable damages.
