Prevalence and management of polycystic ovarian syndrome through diet

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a common heterogeneous endocrine disorder in females of the reproductive age with signs and symptoms, including menstrual irregularity, hirsutism, acne, weight disorders and other metabolic disorders like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disorders. The etiology of this disease is undetermined, even so it may include inherited and environmental aspects, including the lifestyle factors such as reduced physical activity and a high caloric diet habit.

Comparative efficacy of certain chemical and natural protectants against polyphagous heliothis armigera in tomato

Heliothis armigera is a cosmopolitan and major pest, which attacks a wide range of cultivated plants including wheat, pulses, oilseeds, fiber crops, vegetables and ornamental plants. This generalist can grow and survive on many different plant species, belonging to more than 37 families in India. It is a severe pest and it feeds on at least 157 plants species. At certain occasions, it has been found that more than 50% crop is damaged by this pest alone. The damage is caused in the larval stage.

Spectacle mounted miniature synoptphore: innovative design for household orthoptics

Amblyopia is a common problem in children. Early diagnosis, occlusion and orthoptic exercise are mainstay for management. Orthoptic exercises on synoptophore require institutional approach which is not available to most people. Purpose: To study feasibility and outcome of customized trial frame mounted miniature synoptophore made from low cost locally available materials.

Effect of lead exposure on biochemical tests in blood of occupationally exposed workers in major sudanese cities

High lead level in blood is said to have adverse effects on human health. This study was conducted to determine blood lead, liver enzymes, triglycerides and total cholesterol levels in traffic policemen and petrol station workers. A total of 150 subjects were randomly selected from different cities of Sudan, in which 100 samples taken as exposed group and 50 as un-exposed (control). Blood lead concentration was determined by using atomic absorption spectrometer. Biochemical parameters were measured in serum using standard methods.

Isotopic effect of carbon doped mgb2 superconductor

A theoretical investigation of isotopic effect for Carbon doped MgB2 alloys viz. MgB2, MgB1.97C0.03, MgB1.89C0.11 and MgB1.80C0.20 have been reported for the first time using BCS theory. We have tested the applicability of isotopic effect relation Tc= (cons.) M-α where α is isotopic coefficient. Electron –phonon coupling (λ) and isotopic coefficient (α) have been calculated by using Ashcroft’s potential for the alloys under present consideration.

Assessment of chronic pain

Pain is briefly described as: “if patient says "I have pain", it is true and it is exists”. Pain is a very important sign because it is a symptom of illness. Pain types are classified in various forms, but the most widely used and clinically important classification is the classification according to the duration of the pain as chronic and acute. The characteristic features of chronic pain, causes and consequences are more important.

Technical description: polypropylene meshes in wounds inoculated with e. coli; pilot study in new zealand white rabbit

Problem Statement: There is no consensus on the use of synthetic mesh in contaminated wounds. The last existing evidence overestimates use them. Is necessary to define whether they are safe for this type of injury. The reviewed studies are not comparable because of the difference between integrated variables. The sample size and the conditions of each case are very different, and no meta-analysis is available. We propose an animal model to determine whether they represent a risk for surgical site infection (SSI).

Behavior of organization culture in the public service bureaucracy

This study aims to describe the behavior of bureaucracy in the public service, which is the result of several studies or research on the behavior of bureaucracy as a public servant, based on the activities of the comparative study of the state administration in the field of public services; to enhance research activities or field research related to policy formulation process of public service, implementation process of public service, and product evaluation of public service.

Aerobic exercise: benefits in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: mini review

The non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), comprises a wide spectrum of factors that contribute to the development of chronic liver disease. In this spectrum is present to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), which includes significant variables in this liver disease chronicity process. So far there is no specific drug therapy for NAFLD .However nonpharmacological tools such as regular physical exercise and dietary changes emerge as the only way feasible to improve NAFLD patient.
