Evaluation of composites from dimethylol urea and hydroxylated coconut oil for possible application for water resistant emulsion paint

Copolymerization of dimethylol urea and hydroxylated coconut oil was carefully studied in this work. The FTIR spectroscopy of the pure DMU and DMU/HCNO showed chemical interaction took place. Some physico-chemical parameters such as melting point, gel time, moisture uptake, turbidity, viscosity, density, solubility, formaldehyde emission, and refractive index was evaluated.

Impact assessment of maize enterprise development project on rural farmers in nigeria (a case study of kaduna state)

This study assessed the impact of maize enterprise development project on rural farmers in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Specifically, the study ascertained the socio economic characteristics of the beneficiaries and their welfare situation. 110 beneficiaries were randomly selected from the study area. Data were collected using structured questionnaire, focus group discussion guide (FGD) and key informant interview (KII) technique. FGD and KII revealed that the inputs supplied to them (beneficiaries) helped in solving problems of inputs unavailability and poor quality inputs.

Invitro antibacterial activity and phytochemical profile analysis by tlc and gcms from the chloroform extract of chrozophora rottleri

The aim of this study was to bearing the phytochemical profiles from the chloroform extract of Chrozophora rottleri leaves and it’s evaluate antibacterial activity. The chloroform extract of Chrozophora rottleri leaves were prepared by ethanol gradient elution orderly and analyzed by TLC and GCMS. The bacterial strains were used to evaluate the antibacterial activities by the disc diffusion and MIC method. Results showed that the disc diffusion against bacteria ranged from 5 µL/mL to 20 µL/mL of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Proteus vulgaris).

The environment and growth nexus: An empirical examination of the environmental kuznets curve hypothesisin cote d’ivoire

The objective of this paper is to contribute to a better understanding of the environment and growth nexus in Cote d’Ivoire and assess the EKC hypothesis for CO2.The analysis is extended to investigate the long run relationship between CO2 emissions and Agricultural Value Added, Industrial as well as Services Value Added. The data used ranged from 1960 to 2015. An ARDL model is used to assess long run relationship between CO2 emissions and per capita GDP. We found that CO2 emissions and per capita GDP are not cointegrated.

Evaluating nutrition interventions to households living with orphans aged 6-59 monthsin kakamega County, Kenya

Child malnutrition is globally the highest risk factor for illness and death. It contributes to more than half of deaths in children worldwide. Children who lose their parents may face many hardships including food insecurity and poor child care resulting into malnutrition. Utilisation de la sismique reflexion pour l’etude tectonique de la marge d’abidjan (Cote D’Ivoire): decrochement et extension

Analysis of severalseismic profiles resulting from 2D seismicr eflection allowed to study structural basis of Abidjan margin (Côte d’Ivoire) during lower Cretaceous. The principal structural features, normal faults, tilted blocks, grabens, listricfaults and structures in "flower" and "ponytail", observed mainly in Albia sedimentary series indicate that this region of Ivorianmarg in results from geological historypolyphase in connection with both large scaled extral strike movement and distension.

Effect of grazing exclusion on carbon storage on grazing lands: A Review

Grazing exclusion is increasingly practiced in most grassland ecosystems of the world and is the key management aspect to restore degraded grasslands. This review is initiated to explore the contribution of grazing exclusion in increasing ecosystem carbon sequestration. This review includes research findings from almost all types of terrestrial grassland ecosystems in the world. It produces conclusion from recently conducted research findings regarding the importance of grazing exclusion on biomass and soil carbon stock.
