Smart agriculture using automation system

Irrigation system in India has given a high priority in economic development. Many new concepts are being developed to allow agricultural automation to flourish and deliver its full potential. Implementation of Hi-tech Agricultural Solar Fence Security with soil Humidity Based Automatic irrigation system and voice alert on PIR live Human Detection is been implemented in this project for safe and secure agriculture irrigation. The project irrigation control using AT89S52 is designed to tackle the problems of agricultural sector regarding irrigation system with available water resources.

Working towards implementation of results-based management in developing countries with specific reference to the public sector

Results-Based Management (RBM) is a system that should be incorporated into the culture of the department and its programme of projects including its operational systems, values and decision-making procedures. The employee’s skills and capacity should focus on achieving outcomes and impact rather than activities and inputs. In general, a result is something that arises as a consequence. The key principle in this article is to understand the three levels of the results chain, namely: outputs, outcomes and impacts.

Random iteration methods for strictly pseudo-contractive operators

The aim of this chapter is to establish the convergence and almost stability results of random xed point iterative process using two strictly pseudo contractive random operators in a real separable Hilbert space. The results presented in this paper generalize several well known results in Hilberts spaces. Mathematics Subject Classification (2010) : 47H05, 47H09,47H10, 47J05.

Some properties of n x n generalized idempotent matrices with entries 1 and -1 satisfying m2 = m m (1 ≤ m ≤ n)

In this paper n x n generalized idempotent matrix M is defined with entries 1, -1 satisfying M2 = mM (1 ≤ m ≤ n) with examples. It is a quite new concept. We have discussed its properties that the Kronecker product of two generalized idempotent matrices is also a generalized idempotent matrix. Also if a n x n matrices M with entries 1 and -1 satisfies M2 = m M ( 1 ≤ m ≤ n ) then the column of matrix M are eigen vector corresponding to eigen values of M.

Mobile applications for the control of obesity: a systematic review of the literature

Objective: This article aims to carry out a systematic review of the literature in order to identify scientific publications on mobile applications for the control and treatment of obesity. Methodology: The terms "mhealth application", "ehealth application", "adult overweight" and "adult obesity" were used in the databases provided by the portals PubMed Central, VHL and Cochrane Library, in the period from January 2013 to September 2016.

Indigenous technical knowledge of feeds and feeding practices beef cattle in western hararghe, Ethiopia

The objective of this study is to assess the indigenous technical knowledge (ITK) of feeds and feeding practices of cattle fattening in four districts in Ethiopia. For this purpose, two kebeles (smallest administrative unit) one from highland and the other mid-altitude agro-ecology were selected per study district. Data was collected with structured questionnaire, focus group discussion and personal observation. Totally 160 respondents were involved in the study.

Sweet potato flour as substitute for wheat flour and sugar in cookies production

Changes in eating habits of people increased the search for different food formulations to meet the nutritional needs, both for aesthetic reasons or medical restrictions. In this sense, sweet potato provides a valuable product, due to its nutritional and functional properties, being a source of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. In this research, we evaluate the potentialities of sweet potato flour (SPF) in the production of biscuits for total and partial substitution of wheat flour (WF) and sugar.

Knowledge and attitude regarding health awareness among class four workers in selected hospitals of anand district-literature review

The current study aims to assess Knowledge and Attitude regarding Health Awareness among Class Four Workers of selected hospitals of Anand district. Health is a social and biological issue and reflects the extent and distribution of resources in a society. Healthcare is one of the most important aspects of all human endeavors to improve the quality of life, since sound health is essential for the strength and prosperity of a nation. So health awareness among general population is necessary including various occupational areas of society.

Genetic variability, heritability, correlation and path analysis studies in green gram (vigna radiata l.wilczek)

The genotypes differed significantly for all the characters under study. Higher genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation was observed for secondary branches per plant, primary branches per plant, pods per plant, grain yield per plant. Genetic advance was highest for plant height followed by days to maturity and pods per plant. High heritability coupled with moderate genetic advance was observed for plant height, days to maturity, pods per plant, protein content, days to 50 percent flowering, secondary branches per plant, grain yield per plant, primary branches per plant.

Corporative university in network: initial considerations towards a new model of corporate education

This article aims to identify the guidelines that must be considered for the construction of a new model of Corporate University, which responds to the demands of companies and organizations, whether public and private, about the expectations and needs of its multiple stakeholders. To this end, it was conducted a survey with exploratory and descriptive purposes, through a literature review, from electronic database. The essential elements have been identified and the guidelines for the construction of a new model of Corporate University in Network (CUN) were described.
