Fluoride content in bottled water marketed in makassar, Indonesia

Background: Bottled water is a popular choice because it is guaranteed, easy to obtain, and more practical. Bottled water consumption has increased in recent years around the world including Indonesia. One of the requirements of drinking water content packaging is fluoride. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) limitations that fluoride ion has a beneficial effect when the levels are about 0.7 mg / L, but very dangerous if more than 1.5 mg / L. Objective: To determine the content of fluoride in drinking water packaging consumed by people in Makassar.

Vancouver referencing style: the importance in scientific publications

Referencing is a standardized way of acknowledging the sources of information & ideas used in assignments/research work which allows the sources to be identified. Accurate and adequate referencing will help in avoiding accusations of plagiarism. Referencing also enables the reader to find the sources of research work and helps them in understanding the cited author’s work.

Comparative analysis of barite and hematite used in water-based drilling fluid

To meet the future demands and tackling the challenges, the O&G industry needs more than just going for discovering the unproven hydrocarbon reserves. Technologies way beyond the available ones requires tremendous development, to achieve the objective of recovering oil. To overcome such shortcomings, there should be scope and facilitation of development and application of those researched and developed technologies. Ample of understandings has to be considered about the rheology of the drilling fluids that are being put to operation in reaching deep targets of oil.

O pacto pelo desenvolvimento social da paraíba como instrumento na implementação de políticas públicas eficientes e efetivas

It intends to reflect and analyze the Pact for Social Development of Paraíba as an instrument that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of public policies within the State, based on the confirmation of the improvement of social indicators. It addresses, in a general way, the Public Policies and the use of indicators reflecting on the importance of a solidary planning of propositions that are in keeping with the reality. Subsequently deals with the Pact from the legal framework going through all the issues until the criticisms / limits of the idea arrive.

Greenhouse gas emissions from selected cropping patterns and adaptation strategies in Bangladesh

There are many cropping patterns existed at farmers’ field in Bangladesh. Different amounts of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission takes place from different crops fields, but data are not well examined in Bangladesh. In order to estimate GHG emission from agriculture fields, Cool Farm Tool Beta-3 was used for selected cropping patterns. The non-rice based cropping patterns had lower global warming potential (GWP) than rice-rice based cropping patterns.

Effects of increasing tidal volume on the mechanics of the respiratory system of healthy rats

Mechanical ventilation is an advanced life support that has as one of its objectives to promote gas exchange. The use of protocols that vary the tidal volume is a practice that aims at maintaining the most stable minute volume, where this mode is cycled upon reaching the predetermined inspiratory tidal volume. In the midst of this context, the question is raised: What are the effects of increased tidal volume on parenchyma and pulmonary mechanics in healthy rats submitted to mechanical ventilation?

Importance of english interaction and its remedies for the engineering college students coming from rural areas

The English communication for engineering students from the problems faced by them during academic as well as professional life and its possible remedies. Most of the students in engineering colleges from all areas. They do possess intelligence necessary for getting admission for higher education but they lag behind in the English communication competence. So, during academics and career they face a lot of problems. To be successful in studies and campus interviews, Group Discussions, it is important to achieve English communication competence.

Facial expression recognition by using modified convolutional neural network (mcnn) and modified gabor filter

Facial expression recognition is an important topic in an image processing and pattern recognition. The expressions work as a mirror for what happened in the human mind, enable individuals to understand what their peers feel. This paper suggest develop a system for recognizing facial expressions, modified Gabor filter has been use for feature extraction, then classifying the facial expressions based on these extracted features by using a modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN).

Analysis of data mining evaluation methods’ efficiency

After the data mining algorithm has concluded, the results have to be evaluated. The evaluation will show the used algorithm’s accuracy. The main goal of data mining is to discover hidden patterns in data sets. To achieve this there are different algorithms or methods. The algorithms have to be compared based on the work they have performed on the data sets. There are several statistical-based tests to verify that the differences between the methods are not due to some chance effect.

Binary classification algorithms

The classification is a vital part of the Data mining process. It can be accomplished by different algorithms, divided into various groups. Those groups are based on machine learning techniques such as frequency tables, covariance matrices and other analytical statistical approaches. Each of the presented groups has its own advantages and disadvantages and therefore is applicable to a specific situation. The situation is determined by the objects that need to be classified into separate groups, also called object domains. Significant part of the domain cases is represented by two classes.
