Sleep disorders and musculoskeletical pain in adolescentes: a systematic review

Objective: To analyze an association between sleep disorders and musculoskeletal pain in adolescents. Data source: This systematic review was conducted according to the information collected in the Pubmed, Scopus and Cochrane Library databases, following the PRISMA guidelines. We included articles involving a population of adolescents between 10 and 19 years old, addressing subjects of sleep and skeletal muscle disorders, published until September / 2019 in English. There were no restrictions in the period of publication.

How olympic weightlifting methodologies can increase athletic performance

Objective: To review the current literature into Olympic Weightlifting as a modality for the purpose of increasing sport performance primarily through power production. Materials and Methods:This is a retrospective review of the literature with a quantitative approach. The sample population included data from various sports of different levels and subject demographics. Data collection was performed measuring power production through verified objective measures. The data analysis was performed by comparing methods of training, power production, and injury rates.

Health care under the oncological patient's perspective

Objectives: To describe how health professionals act in the care of patients treated by a hospital oncology service. Method: This is a qualitative study, whose data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews. They were transcribed and analyzed by the Collective Subject Discourse technique. Twenty-five patients who were admitted to the oncology department of a public hospital participated in this study. Results: Three central ideas were identified that indicated inappropriate conduct of professionals and three that demonstrate an appropriate positioning.

Bone mineral density, 25-hydroxyvitamin d levels and chronic liver disease in pediatric patients

Bone health of children and adolescents has been the focus of studies in recent years, since it is necessary to understand the low bone mass and / or hypovitaminosis D in pediatric patients with chronic disease, in order to propose a preventive and therapeutic strategy for promote healthy skeletal growth. This study sought to describe bone mineral density (BMD) and serum vitamin D levels in pediatric patients, followed up at referral outpatient clinics for liver disease. This is a descriptive study with patients aged 5-19 years, seen at outpatients with liver disease.

É neste cenário que se destaca a Auriculoterapia, tratamento para diversas patologias de caráter tanto físico quanto mental, fundamentando-se nos princípios da Medicina Tradicional Chinesa. O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar se a auriculoterapia produz efeitos significativos na melhora da qualidade de vida de policias militares.

Trends in Brazilian thesis and dissertations on the transition of care in health services

The study aimed to identify trends in scientific production and contributions of scientific knowledge produced in Brazilian theses and dissertations about the transition of care in health services. This is a study of thesis and dissertation trends from a narrative review of descriptive literature, carried out through a systematic search in the Thesis and Dissertation Bank of the Higher Education Personal Improvement Coordination. After reading the titles and abstracts of the productions, four productions that made up the corpus of this review.

The view of nurses about computerization in daily nursing practice

Computerization of health information applies technological resources in various areas of assistance and care and acts in the storage, processing, analysis and transmission of information so as to allow the solution of problems in the care context. This study aimed to know the nurses' view of computerization in the daily nursing practice in the municipality of Imperatriz-MA to identify the sociodemographic profile of the research participants.

Polymorphims in the cholesteryl ester transfer protein gene in patients with coronary artery disease

Introduction: Cholesterol ester transfer protein (CETP) is a plasma glycoprotein responsible for mediating the transfer of cholesterol esters and phospholipids, from high density LP (HDL) to low density LP, in exchange for TG. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional, prospective and analytical study which enrolled 204 patients with coronary artery disease and 200 healthy controls. Evaluate the prevalence of polymorphisms in the CETP gene and its relationship with clinical characteristics.

Desfechos obstétricos e neonatais de parturientes submetidas à indução ou condução do trabalho de parto com ocitocina

Objetivo: Analisar os desfechos maternos e neonatais de parturientes com gestação a termo que foram submetidas à indução ou condução do parto com ocitocina. Método: Estudo documental realizado em uma maternidade terciária, de fevereiro a abril de 2018 com 113 parturientes submetidas à ocitocina. Resultados: A maior causa de indicação médica para o uso da ocitocina foi a condução do parto devido à distócia motora (69,9%). A ocorrência de taquissistolia uterina foi o principal efeito adverso materno da droga (8,3%), seguido de náuseas e vômitos (7,07%).
