Teacher training and science education in the early years of fundamental education in Contemporaneity

In the training of science teachers, it is essential to rethink the place of scientific knowledge in the neoliberal model and the approaches to science education focused on our political participation in training processes. This research aims to analyze the initial formation of teachers and the teaching-learning of Sciences, in the early years of Elementary Education, in the Pedagogy course, at the State University of Maranhão - UEMA. The study emerged from the discursive interactions in the classes of the Fundamentals and Methodology of Science Teaching discipline, in 2018.

Ddea e regressão logística: Uma aplicação nos campos de petróleo brasileiros

Este artigo tem como objetivo avaliar á eficiência ambiental dinâmica dos campos de petróleo das bacias costeiras brasileiras, considerando os anos de 2014, 2015 e 2016, por meio da Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA) e validada pela regressão logística. Os dados foram disponibilizados pela ANP (Agência Nacional de Petróleo) em seu sítio eletrônico perfazendo um total de 67 campos pertencentes às bacias de Alagoas, Camamu, Espírito Santo, Potiguar e Sergipe.

White forest and ethnobotany: Endemic knowledge as a key element in the treatment of coronavirus disease

This article carefully presents, in a discursive, detailed, and historical perspective, an analysis on traditional groups’ knowledge in natural systems of Caatinga (“white forest”) and its potential for technological advances in the proposal of phytoproducts to resolve or reduce the negative effects of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Thus, this study is an act of reflection that translates the meaning of the relationship between society and nature, leading us to a field of vision that denotes the relevance of the sustainable use of natural resources as a driver of regional development.

Salivary biomarker: A noninvasive diagnostic markers for early detection of oral cancer; a review

Oral cancer is among the most common cancers worldwide. More than 90% of oral cancers are oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Diagnosis of such malignant oral tumor are often at late state with poor prognosis and the survival rate is generally very low; So considering this fact, early detection of oral cancer is urgently needed. Many recent studies have been conducted to the search for early salivary biomarkers of oral cancers. Investigation of Salivary biomarkers are simple, non-invasive and inexpensive test.

Emulsification properties of acacia senegal gum, glucuronic acid and glucuronates

The present study compares the emulsifying properties of Acacia senegal gum, glucuronic acid (arabic acid) and glucuronates (arabate salts) in oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. Emulsifying properties of each hydrocolloid were evaluated in terms of emulsion droplet-size distribution. Emulsion of Na, Ca and Mg glucuronates show stability until 3 days while Acacia senegal gum emulsion forms multiple peaks after 3 days and completely separates after 7 days.

Sustainable development and the attitudes, knowledge and views of students of the higher school of tourism of rhodes

The rapid developments in transport, communication, technology and economy during the last fifty years have unavoidably led tourism in an uptrend. More and more people are becoming travelers and “collectors of experiences”, engaging in a continuous mobility that has both positive and negative effects. The realization that tourism can relegate the place of destination both socially and environmentally, has resulted in the conception of the term of Sustainable Tourism, as an activity respecting the social fabric and promoting socially and environmentally friendly touristic practices.

Association between self esteem and anxiety levels in high-risk pregnant women in a reference maternity hospital in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil

Objective: To evaluate the association between self-esteem and anxiety in pregnant women admitted to a high-risk sector. Methods: Quantitative, cross-sectional, observational study. Data were collected through interviews with pregnant women admitted to the high-risk maternity ward, from April 1 to June 31, 2016. The sample totaled 112 women and was by convenience. Results: Of the women, 72.3% presented low self-esteem and significant correlation with educational level (p = 0.004). The anxiety was 60.7% and the religion was the only variable with a significant association (p = 0.04).

Conhecimento, atitude e práticana promoção da saúde em mulheres com fibromialgia

Objetivo: Analisar o conhecimento, atitude e prática da equipe interdisciplinar no tratamento de mulheres com fibromialgia. Método: Estudo descritivo-exploratório, a pesquisa foi realizada no mês de maio de 2018, no Núcleo Integrado de Saúde, em uma instutuição de ensino privada, em Fortaleza-CE. Para coleta de dados utilizou-se uma entrevista semiestruturada com 40 discentes e docentes da referida instituição, através de visitas ao local nos dias em que estavam marcado atendimentos. A análise dos dados se deu à luz da análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin.

Casos de flebite notificados em sistema de informação de um hospital universitário

Este estudo objetivou caracterizar os casos de flebite notificados em sistema de informação de um hospital universitário. Estudo quantitativo, exploratório, realizado em um hospital escola no estado de Pernambuco, Brasil. A amostra foi composta de 69 notificações de casos de flebite referentes ao período de 2014 a 2018. Os dados foram coletados no mês de março de 2019 através do software hospitalar de vigilância à saúde. Abordaram-se variáveis sociodemográficas e clínicas do paciente, relacionadas ao incidente de flebite e informações do notificador.
