Delirium no idoso hospitalizado: conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem

Objetivo: Verificar o conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem sobre o delirium em idosos hospitalizados. Materiais e Método: Trata-se de um estudo de natureza descritiva e exploratória, de abordagem qualitativa, realizado na Unidade de Internação Clínica de um hospital universitário na Região Sul do Brasil, desenvolvido por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, audiogravadas, com 28 profissionais de enfermagem, entre agosto e outubro de 2019. Os dados foram tratados por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo, utilizando como suporte o software Nvivo para análise das entrevistas.

Quantitative analysis regarding deforestation in the municipality of placas, pará, Brazil

In the Amazon region, especially in the western part of the state of Para, in the municipality of Placas, deforestation intensified after the “integrate but not deliver” program. The objective of this research was to verify anthropic actions such as the opening of roads, extraction of wood, population growth, and the local economy, such as the increase in cattle and soybean farming. The method used was deductive, with a quantitative scope. The obtention of data in free-access electronic databases such as the CAPES Periodical Portal.

A violência contra a mulher, é considerada um problema de saúde, segurança pública e justiça. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a violência contra a mulher, em tempo de pandemia da covid-19, no Estado do Pará a partir das notificações do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação e das ocorrências da Secretaria Adjunta de Inteligência e Análise Criminal. Este estudo tem natureza quantitativa, do tipo descritiva, exploratória e documental.

The impact of progressive resistance training on the physical health of adult individuals

Background: Physical training can be considered a therapeutic strategy to prevent the deleterious effects of aging. Objective: To investigated the lean mass gain, improved muscle strength and functional capacity, obtained through Progressive Resistance Training (PRT) of large muscle groups. Method: Longitudinal prospective study with adult individuals of both genders, over 50 years of age. The following variables were studied: anthropometry, bioelectrical impedance, the sit and stand test, handgrip strength and Progressive Resistance Training (PRT) of large muscle groups.

Quality of living in India: a household level analysis

The present paper purports to investigate the quality of living among the Indian households at state and district level from 2001 to 2011. The study is based on secondary data collected from Registrar General Census Operations, New Delhi. The quality of living has been examined in terms of 5 main dimensions i.e. (i) housing quality, (ii) basic amenities like health, sanitation and cleanliness, electrification, fuel consumption, (iii) banking (iv) information and communication and assets ownerships covering 14 indicators.

Climate system in a nutshell: An overview for understanding Climate change

Along the Earth planet’s history (~4.5 billion years) events of climate change have occurred but not so fast as in the last hundred years. This literature review summarizes the main aspects of the physics of the climate to explain in a simple way the natural forcings that affect the climate system and lead to climate change. But, only natural forcings are not enough to justify the increase of ~1.1oC in the global average of air temperature since the pre-industrial period.

The influence of social media on female body image: Case study in Brazil

This article refers to the influence of social media on female body image and seeks to investigate the impacts of Instagram as a dictator of a standard of body image and beauty. The established method was an experimental study of a single subject in which two levels were outlined to measure body satisfaction, with and without the use of Instagram. The study showed a good level of significance in their experiment. We recommend that the study be replicate in a larger sample of participants for a better result.

Internal and external green drivers and organizational sustainability performance in agro processing Smes in Ghana: Validating the connection

The green subject matter, especially on its driving factors and performance of firms in the Ghanaian manufacturing setting and Africa in general has become a matter of concern. Premised on theoretically backed literature on green manufacturing, green practices and performance, a model was presented. Dataset of 415 firms were analyzed. Using SPSS Amos 24, the structural equation modeling analysis was carried out. External green drivers were seen to directly relate with performance of firms in agro processing industry in Ghana than the green internal driving factors.

Curriculum flexibility in the inclusive school: a theoretical reflection on the curriculum construction process

The aim of this article is to establish a dialogical relationship between curriculum flexibility and learning styles for teacher curricular knowledge and how these categories can serve as essential tools for building an inclusive curriculum, and specifically, how to use them as methodological strategies in the classroom context, in order to generate a better use in the learning process based on assumptions of renowned authors such as Perrenoud (1997), Tomlinson (2008), among others.
