Assessment of intervention needs for enhancing ginger production in some selected areas of Darjeeling District, West Bengal

The study was conducted during the year 2013 with a specific objective i.e., to study the selected agro-economic, socio-psychological and communicational variables for identifying the areas requiring necessary interventions for enhancing ginger production within the study area. For the assessment of facts, 100 ginger growers i.e. marginal and small farmers have been randomly selected form five gram panchayats of Pulbazar-Bijanbari block of Dist.-Darjeeling, West Bengal. Pearson’s correlation co-efficient have been used as a statistical tool for analysis of the data.

Study on relationship of independent variables with knowledge and awareness level of livestock farmers engaged in IVLP bone crushing units

The present study was aimed at finding out the level of different attributes like adoption, knowledge and awareness of respondents involved in project only in relation to livestock production system as an impact of Institute Village Linkage Programme (IVLP) at Barua village of Paschim Medinipore district of West Bengal. The knowledge of deworming of livestock owners was positively and significantly correlated with the occupation, education, family educational score, family educational status, house, farm power, material possession at 1% level.

Polyaniline nanocomposites with doped ferrites as an electromagnetic shield

Polyaniline (PANI) possesses good microwave absorption properties, with the maximum absorption rate of 15.8 dB, and greater than 10 dB within the frequency of 11.36-15.46 GHz. On mixing PANI in-situ with hybrid ferrites and doped ferrites, the resulting polyaniline nanocomposites (PANI NCs) behave as promising electromagnetic shield for a wide range of electromagnetic spectrum from 3GHz to 15.9GHz efficiently. In this review, literature on magnetic properties of Ni ferrite PANI NCs, NiGd ferrite PANI NCs, MnZn ferrite PANI and Sm3+ doped ferrite PANI NCs has been analyzed.

Peoples’ perception on pollution and its impact on public health: an empirical study in Uluberia town with particular reference to the air pollution caused by bone crushing u

Uluberia is a small sub-divisional town in Haora district, situated at the west bank of Hooghly River. Nine Bone Mills are located in the southern part of the town. They are engaged in crashing up the dry animal bones and producing ‘bone dusts’ for various industrial usages. Ministry of Environment, Government of India, has categorized this kind of factories as ‘ordinary red’. They can potentially harm public health and thus are ‘officially’ not allowed to operate in the vicinity of a residential area.

Study of human fetal tali calcaneal articular facets

Talus is the important tarsal bone which participates in the formation of talocrural, subtarsal and talocalcaneonavicular joints. In the subtalar region, anatomical variation is particularly present on the talus as well as on the calcaneus. The prior knowledge of anatomical setup of talus and its various articulations are significant in diagnosis of underlying pathology of the foot like Congenital telipes equinovarus, Pes planus, high arched foot etc. as a result there are changes in its morphology and also help in its treatment.

Investigating the determinants of Ghana’s agricultural exports performance: Focus on banana, coffee and rubber

Following recent decline for performance of Ghana in rubber exports, failure of the banana sub-sector to achieve competitiveness in exports in spite of the prospects reflected so far, and a generally weak performance reflected by the coffee sub-sector in its export dimension since 1986, the present study sourced identification of the magnitude and effects of relevant export drivers on the country’s performance in exports of the respective commodities.

Influential factors of residential area on tertiary female students’ dress code

Dress codes vary widely, and many cultures have different and strong “modesty codes”. Many people have certain clothing expectations and, or thoughts about what is reasonable or justified for people to wear. When the majority of people share the same expectations in a society, standards form, and standards are guidelines and principles that set forth what’s appropriate, or suitable to wear. Dress is seen as a visible symbol for fundamental beliefs that can be influenced by several factors, therefore, resulting in various types of clothing styles that are worn.

In addition, there is increasing awareness that these emotional abilities contribute to a pupil’s personal and social development. Teachers contribute decisively to the development of these abilities within the educational framework.
