Quantitative evaluation of surface water pollution by antibiotic residues in yaounde of cameroon

Many studies have been undertaken in order to find pollutants of anthropic origin found in surface waters. Recently discovered we reported the emergence of water pollution by drugs. Although present at little concentrations, the water pollution by antibiotics can be at the origin of health and environmental risks which must not be neglected. In order to quantitate their presence in domestic and hospital waste, two molecules of antibiotics: Ciprofloxacin (CIPX) and Ceftriaxone (CFX) have been the subject of this study.

Bioactive compounds and reological study of physalis (P. peruviana) pulp as a result of maltodextrin concentration

This work aimed to characterize the bioactive compounds of Physalis pulp and perform its rheological study due to the addition of the encapsulating agent maltodextrin that acts as thermal protector of bioactive compounds in later processing steps. Fresh pulp was characterized by the following bioactive compounds: total phenolic compounds, flavonoids, anthocyanins, total carotenoids and antioxidant activity (ABTS + and DPPH).

Productivity evaluation of soybean varieties inoculated with Bradyrhizobiumjaponicum in no-tillage system under Urochloaruziziensis straw

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) has been shown great potential productivity in Brazil due to its cultivation conditions and desirable traits of soil and climate. Much of the culture's success is due to the quality and versatility of the genetic material used, especially its phenotypic plasticity. In the western region of the state of São Paulo, its cultivation has been brought benefits, derived in part by the main cultivation system used, no-tillage system, which reduces the use of phytosanitary products that harm the environment and the use of straw from the previous crop.

Nitrogen fertigation and arrangement of drip hoses in eggplant cultivation

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of the nitrogen (N) doses applied by fertigation with a surface and subsurface drip irrigation system in eggplant “Ciça”. The experiment was conducted from August 2017 to February 2018 in the irrigation and drainage area of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Federal University of Grande Dourados, in Dourados city, MS state, Brazil. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design in a subdivided plot composed of four blocks. In the plots treatments were at doses of N zero, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg ha-1.

Determination of optimum spatial arrangement and plant population in sesame sorghum intercropping

Information regarding sesame in sorghum intercropping is very little. The present study was undertaken to determine optimum proportion of component crops and to compare the land use efficiency and economic returns of the component crops of sorghum/sesame intercropping system and enhance food security in Mieso area of oromiya region. The experiment was laid out in factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications.

Viability of tomato grafted with solanum paniculatum l. and solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme in protected cultivation

The objective of this study was to evaluate the viability of tomato grafted with Solanum paniculatum L. and Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiform in protected cultivation. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at the Agricultural Sciences Center of the Federal University of Alagoas, in the municipality of Rio Largo, AL. The statistical design was completely randomized, with three treatments (Santa Adélia tomato without grafting, grafting of Santa Adélia tomato with Solanum lycopersicum var.

The characteristics of first generation hybrids of wheat in the conditions of drought

In this work, we evaluated the genotypes, which allowed us to obtain flexible forms of the first generation and to study their physiological and biochemical characteristics, compared with the original parental forms. Wheat varieties were grown in two options of water availability: with optimal irrigation (control) and in limited irrigation (experience). To maintain moisture in the soil at a level of 70-75% during the growing season, irrigation was performed in control option. In the experimental version, the soil moisture was 45-50%.
