Influence of pollination of tomato performance (solanumlycopersicum L.): a research study

Tomato (Solanumlycopersicum L.) is among the most cultivated vegetables in the world, being produced in more than 160 countries. Pollination is a symbiotic process that occurs between pollinating and pollinated species and its importance are to ensure reproduction, fruit development and maintain genetic diversity and a wide variety of food. Fifteen random flowers were selected, which were covered with packages made of "TNT" (non-woven fabric). After the 40-day period, nine pollinated fruits and nine non-pollinated fruits were collected.

Analysis of the informational environment in the Brazilian patent process

A patent is an important tool for the inventor as it gives him a temporary monopoly of exploitation due to the novelty achieved during research for the invention. Currently Brazilian inventors have 30,000 applications at the INPI, which grants about 900 patent applications per year filed. Processing spectroradiometry data for the simulation of soil physicochemical parameters

In spite of its restricted use, due to data quantity and difficulty of interpretation, spectroradiometry is a potential application for precision agriculture. In this study, samples of lowland soils were collected according to a regular grid. Each sample was analyzed by conventional physicochemical methods (Al, Ca, K, Mg, Na, P and clay) and spectroradiometry (2151 bands, 350 to 2500 nm).The work aimed to simulate physicochemical variables using data from spectroradiometry bands.

Assessment of antimicrobial prospective of crude extracts of leaves, bark and fruits of ziziphuslotus L.

Ziziphus lotus, belonging to the Rhamnaceae family, is a deciduous shrub which generally grows in arid and semiarid regions of the globe. The aim of the present study was to assess the antimicrobial activity of solvents with wide range of polarity of various parts of Z. lotus against Klebsiellapneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Mycobacterium smegamatisusing agar well diffusion method. The collected plant part was processed for themaceration extraction followed by solvent evaporation. The antimicrobial activity was assessed by agar well diffusion method.

Vinasse and tebuthiuron application to sugarcane soil and its effects on bacterial community and ecotoxicity after natural attenuation

Soil fertility and weed control are fundamental factors for vinasse and herbicide applications in sugarcane crops, however environmental damage can be caused by their continuous and increasing use. Therefore, the present study aimed to analyze the changes in microbial community and ecotoxicological potential of sugarcane soil for different associations of vinasse and tebuthiuron. The experimental design was completely randomized in a factorial scheme 4x2, linked to vinasse volume (V0-0,5-1,0-2,0) and to tebuthiuron recommended dose (H0-1).

Impact of receiving training on wheat productivity in oromia regional State, Ethiopia

This study examines the impact of receiving training on wheat productivity using 837 sample farm households in Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. It employed Propensity score matching (PSM) technique since it is an increasingly utilized standard approach for evaluating impacts using observational data. And the study revealed that receiving training on wheat during the farming season appears to significantly increase productivity on the average by 28 to 36% for farm households in the study area.

Analysis fossintetic pigments of genotype ps1319 cocoa seedlings submitted to different irrigation depth

Water availability is one of the main factors that affect the production of high quality cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) seedlings. Determination of photosynthetic pigment content is important because it changes when plants are subjected to stress. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different irrigation depths on the photosynthetic pigments content in genotype PS1319 cocoa seedlings.

Influence of tebuthiuron and vinasse under soil microbiota activity in sugarcane crop

Tebuthiuron is an herbicide used in sugarcane crops and can cause great environmental impact due to its high persistence and toxicity in soil. Thus, an organic compound addition influences the environmental behavior of this molecule and could increase its sorption and degradation. Vinasse is used in fertigation and this research aimed to evaluate microbial metabolism in soil cultivated with sugarcane with tebuthiuron and vinasse applications.
