Public and technological policies for the family agriculture transformation: Effects on the rural development

In the reality of the rural world, it is necessary to provide services and infrastructure that allow family farmers to maintain competitiveness, which is why it is essential for the participation of local agricultural development. Sustainable development means obtaining the necessary economic growth, guaranteeing the preservation of the environment and social development for the present and future generations.

Plant protection practices and health impacts in market gardening in South Benin (West Africa)

The objective of this study is to inventory the types of plant protection products used, risk behaviors during their use and signs of intoxication in market gardeners. It was carried out between May 2019 and January 2020 in southern Benin with 215 market gardeners through individual surveys and direct observations in the departments of Ouémé, Littoral, Atlantic and Mono. The results show that market gardening is mainly carried out by men (74%) who have not received any basic training in phytosanitary practice.

Cuidados de enfermagem no perioperatório para prevenção do tromboembolismo venoso: uma revisãointegrativa

The objective was to analyze how to lead the nurse in the face of prevention of VTE to the surgical patient in the preoperative period. This is an integrative review. The literary survey was carried out from January to June 2020. Through the database of the Virtual Health Library, SCIELO and LILACS portal. The descriptors used were: "Venous Tromboembolism", "Nursing Care" and "Perioperative Assistance". A research found 37 articles, although only 15 were used, covering the topic addressed.

Benefícios do aleitamento materno para a saúde da mulher: revisão de literatura

Objetivo: Elencar, analisar e discorrer sobre os benefícios do aleitamento materno para a saúde da mulher. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica da literatura, onde, para sua elaboração foram pesquisados artigos nas bases de dados: PubMed, Scielo e periódicos na revista médica Acta Pediatrica. Para a busca, empregaram-se os seguintes termos, “Aleitamento materno”, “importância da amamentação”, “saúde da mulher” e “benefícios da amamentação para a mulher”.

O principal objetivo desse estudo foi analisar as possibilidades da utilização do filme “Procurando Nemo (2003)” na Educação Científica e suas contribuições para os processos de ensino-aprendizagem de conceitos científicos e construção de significados relacionados à Ecologia, em uma perspectiva interdisciplinar de padrões de interações discursivas e mediação. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, acompanhada de estudo de caso qualitativo.

Investigating the hygroscopic degradation in different geographical areas of Cameroon and its impacts on agricultural activities

Climatic change has put the whole humanity under permanent stress whose consequences should be very catastrophic. A good knowledge of the past and today climates should enable us a well management of the future and a successful prevention of those catastrophes like hunger. This article concerns the nearer past hygroscopic regime at different areas of Cameroon. The comparison of the obtained results with the today regime has permitted us to appreciate the ongoing degradation and has enabled us to quantify it.

Hanseníase e qualidade de vida: uma revisão sistemática leprosy and quality of life: a systematic review

A qualidade de vida (QV) é um conjunto de valores, objetivos e subjetivos, que se possa atribuir a vida em virtude de modificações motivadas por alterações da capacidade funcional, percepções e eventos sociais influenciados por agravos e doenças, tratamentos e políticas de saúde. Assim, na tentativa de compreender as necessidades de vida e saúde através da avaliação da QV este estudo objetivou investigar os impactos da Hanseníase na QV dos sujeitos através de uma revisão sistemática da literatura.

Environmental factors related to patient comfort in the intensive care unit

The objective was to identify the environmental factors that can facilitate or hinder the promotion of comfort for clients hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This is an exploratory and descriptive investigative study, based on the qualitative method, carried out between March and August 2017, with 40 professional nurses and nursing technicians from the Hospital Geral de Roraima (HGR) of Boa Vista, Roraima. A structured questionnaire with three categories of responses was used, based on the General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ).

Microbiological and physico-chemical quality of the ziga dam lake in Burkina Faso

The practice of activities on the shores of the Ziga Dam Lake involves the use of products that can affect the quality of its water, thus upsetting the ecological balance of the environment. In order to prevent this damage, it is necessary to regularly monitor the quality of the lake's water, because without this, no decision can be taken to protect it. The objective of this study is to evaluate the microbiological and physico-chemical quality of the dam lake.
