Série temporal e características sociodemográficas da mortalidade por suicídio no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil

Objetivo: avaliar o perfil epidemiológico de indivíduos que cometeram suicídio no Rio Grande do Sul, no período entre 2010 e 2018. Método: estudo descritivo com dados sobre suicídio e variáveis sociodemográficas obtidos no Sistema de Informação sobre Mortalidade (SIM) através do programa ‘Tabwin’ do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS) do Brasil. Para comparar as médias de suicídios entre sexos foi utilizado o teste t Student (nível de significância de 5%).

Recognition of facial expressions: active emotions during the use of audiovisuals

This article describes or recognizes facial and compared expressions as active emotions when using audiovisuals. This study investigated the parameters of facial expressions with the use of audiovisual information in the perception of emotions. Participants volunteer to enjoy two types of music videos. The videos were selected in two styles (pop / rock and classical music). The listening task and the answers are intended to investigate the emotional perception of those being tested. There is a difference between the styles of music used during the study.

Sensitivity of water flea daphnia carinata and freshwater microalgae scenedesmus from Viet Nam to Cadmium

In South-eastern region of Viet Nam, Sai Gon river not only provides drinking water for million people, but also supports biodiversity of local freshwater ecosystem. However, due to development of industry and agriculture, the river is continuously loaded with xenobiotics released by anthropogenic activities. Among pollutants, heavy metals are considered as the most toxic elements to aquatic living organisms and human health.

In vitro propagation of jamelão (syzygiumcumini (l.) skeels)

Syzygiumcumini (L.) Skeels is a plant species belonging to the Myrtaceae family, popularly known as jamelão, jamun, or Indian jamelão, widely used in medicine because of its hypoglycemic effects. In vitro cultivation is an alternative to seedling production and conservation of this important genetic resource, highlighting the micropropagation, which allows to obtain high quality plants, with identical genetic characteristics and in a short time.

Gall insect in muga silkworm (Antheraea assamensis) host plants, som (Machilus bombycina) and soalu (Litsea polyantha): A Review

The golden yellow colour of silk is produced by Muga silkworm, Antheraea assamensis. The silk has a high demand in the market due to its unique colour and quality. Muga culture or muga cultivation it's having relation with the Assamese people of northeastern states of India. Muga silkworm is multivoltine in nature. Generally muga silkworm feed on som, soalu (Primary) plants. As well as they are feeding secondary and tertiary plants. These plants are affected by various insects and pests.

Morphological indices of okra seedlings produced with coffee grounds and eggshells

The okra has been highlighted for its nutritional potential and easy cultivation in small properties and in the so-called urban agriculture. Residues such as coffee grounds and eggshell have proved to be excellent alternatives for organic fertilization. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the agronomic potential of coffee grounds with eggshell in the production of Santa Cruz okra seedlings 47. The work was developed in the city of Chapadinha – MA, in a greenhouse, using a delineation completely randomized in a 4x3 factorial scheme for 21 days.

A systematic study on nile crocodile (crocodylusniloticus) skins for the preparation of leather products

Leathers made from crocodile skins have very good market value. The beauty, durability, texture, and extraordinary properties of these leathers have fascinated more people. As a result of increased popularity and use, there is a critical need for baseline information so that the industry can effectively market exotic leather products. In Ethiopia, crocodiles are available in good numbers in the rivers, lakes,and inthe ranch. Ethiopia is considerably exporting the raw crocodile skins to other countries from Arba Minch Crocodile farm.

Economic impacts on the management of arapaima gigas (pirarucus) in protected areas in the central amazon of Brazil

Objective: to analyze basic aspects of the management of Arapaima gigas (pirarucus) in seven Protected Areas and to evaluate the impact of the change in the legislation of the minimum capture size on the gross revenue of the Management Units in the State of Amazonas, Brazil. Material and Methods: the study was carried out in nine Pirarucu Management Units (UMP), linked to seven Protected Areas in the State of Amazonas, four of them Sustainable Development Reserves (RDS), Extractive Reserve (RESEX), Indigenous Land (TI) and a fisheries agreement (AP).

Critical thinking in science education publications: the research contexts

This article presents a literature review on critical thinking in Science Education, in articles published in the period (2010-2019). The objectives were: to identify articles involving critical thinking in Science Education; and to characterize the research contexts in which critical thinking was present in the articles. The analytical procedures were performed from the stages of the systematic literature review, described by Okoli (2015) and from the assumptions of content analysis of Bardin (2011).
