Effects of the use of ora pro nobis (pereskia aculeta miller) on human health

Some studies have shown that Ora-Pro-Nobis (OPN) (Pereskiaaculeata Miller) can be an alternative that can be usedto prevent or treat risk factors for cardiovascular risk and malnutrition. For these reasons, this paper aims to review the effects of OPF on human health. This descriptive review was built from studies published in the PUBMED and Scielo databases.OPN is a cheap source of energy andis consumed by low-income communities as a source of nutrients.

Partnerships for the preservation of rivers in Brazil and italy as a legacy of world War II

World War II was one of the darkest periods in human history. In particular, rivers were hit hard by bridge bombing and intensive removal of vegetation in their watersheds and banks. Defensive or attack strategies modified the river balance of sediments, banks, and sometimes even changed river courses. On the other hand, as the war moved on, some positive aspects began, such as the spirit of collaboration and brotherhood that Brazilian soldiers and Italian civilians built at that time.

Mass spectral analysis (gcms) gas chromatography and mass spectrometry of various volatile bioactive compounds in sonaka seedless raisins

Grape (Vitis sp.) belonging to Family Vitaceae is a commercially important fruit crop of India. Grapes are eaten as raw or they can be used for making wine, raisins, jam, and jelly, which are very nutritious and rich source of minerals like potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, other micronutrients and different vitamins. Raisins are dried fruits of certain varieties of grapevines with a high content of sugar and solid flash (Khair and Shah, 2005). Analysis of organic compounds by FT Raman spectrum of raisin.

The teaching praxis in the teaching of chemistry: the perceptions of first-year students for the construction of knowledge in school daily life

In this work, a case study was conducted based on the students' perception of chemistry classes in a public school in Ceará. The way teachers teach and how students learn has become research themes in various academic papers. It was verified through the application of a questionnaire and monitoring of chemistry classes as the students have been perceiving the practices of chemistry teachers. The work developed took place in the public school Casimiro Leite de Oliveira, and understood from the application of questionnaires to the follow-up of the chemistry teacher's class in the 2nd year B.

Effects of pectin from carnauba (copernicia prunifera) fruits on the activity liver gene expression of key proteins involved in lipid metabolism in apoe knockout mice fed a high-fat diet

Pectin is a polysaccharide that has an important hypolipidemic potential. However, pectin isolated from carnauba fruits (Copernicia prunifera) has never been evaluated in in vivo models of dyslipidemia. Thus, we evaluated for the first time itsin vitro and hypolipidemic effects in ApoE-/- mice fed a high fat diet (HFD). The treatment with pectin (150 and 300 mg/kg/day) reduced significantly of total cholesterol, LDL-C, glycemia, liver AST and lipid peroxidation, as well as induced downregulation of hepatic HMGCR transcription, a key enzyme for the synthesis cholesterol.

Effect of monkeys’ digestive tract and some factors on Opuntia tuna (L.) Mill. seed germination in the special reserve of gueumbeul (Senegal)

Opuntia tuna is a resilient plant, used toprotect against wind and water erosion for the restoration of degraded soils. Its introduction, as a fence hedge, in the Special Reserve of Gueumbeul (Senegal), has led to a proliferation of the species in this area. This proliferation has drastically reduced the areas of predilection of the animals. This is aggravated by the lack of initiative in the processing of fruits and cactus snowshoes.

Sustainable chitosan production by mucoralean fungi using waste post-frying oils and corn steep liquor as substrates

This study aimed to evaluate three industrial wastes as alternative sources of carbon and nitrogen in the production of chitosan by Cunninghamella bertholletiae URM 7658, Rhizopus arrhizus URM 7651 and Mucor subtilissimus URM 7659. A 23 full-factorial design (FFD) was used to determine the effect of wastes (oily emulsion from collectors wash -OECW-, mixture of waste post-frying oils -MWPO- and corn steep liquor -CSL-) in biomass and chitosan production by the Mucoralean fungi.

Evaluation of electrical, mechanical and thermoresistance resistance of al- 0.05% cu- [0.25-0.35]% fe-0.5% si-0.6% mg with addition of (0.13)% niobium, for transport and distribution of electricity

The present work aims to study the influence of the element Niobium, under the alloy Al- 0.05% Cu- [0.25-0.35]% Fe-0.5% Si-0.6% Mg as its mechanical and electrical properties and thermoresistant characterization.
