Physiological quality of Inga laurina (Sw.) Willd. seeds under different storage methods

The species Inga laurina (Sw.) Willd. belongs to the Fabaceae, popularly known as ingá, is widely distributed in Brazil, has wood of good quality, fruit with sweetened pulp, and can be used in the reforestation of riparian forests and recovery of degraded areas. Considering the importance of this species, the objective of this study was to evaluate the physiological quality of Iinga laurina seeds stored under different conditions.

Chemistry and environmental education: extraction of natural extracts from the brazilian semiarid

The insertion of everyday themes in Teaching Chemistry facilitates their contextualization and interdisciplinarity in the study of situations that involve themes related to agriculture and its potentialities. The productive activities in the chemical area are normally risky and potentially cause pollution, since it works with substances that often have toxic properties causing several environmental problems.

Major considerations of irrigation methods in endodontics: a systematic review

Introduction: Endodontic therapy aims to remove debris from the pulp tissue resulting from the preparation of the root and microorganisms of the root canal system channels, seeking cleaning and complete antisepsis. Also, the drug calcium hydroxide, Ca (OH) and good antimicrobial properties against the majority of endodontic-2 are used in endodontic treatment as intracanal pathogens relevant in tactical terms. Sodium hypochlorite is an irritant solution widely used in chemotherapeutic treatment for a long time with great effectiveness.

Current protocols for endodontic retreating: a systematic review

Introduction: Endodontic retraction is a procedure performed on a tooth that received an earlier attempt at a definitive treatment that resulted in a condition requiring additional new endodontic treatment to achieve a successful outcome. The major cause of treatment failure is insufficient cleaning and inadequate obturation. Objective: was to evaluate, through a literature review, the endodontic retreatments with rotary and mechanical files, which is the best efficacy.

Antitumoral activity of eleutherine plicata herb. and its compounds

The antitumoral activity of plants containing quinonic compounds has been reported, however there is a need to evaluate Eleutherine plicata. This study assesses the impact of E. plicata fractionation in its antitumoral effect. The ethanol extract obtained from E. plicata bulbs (EEEP) was fractionated under reflux. The dichloromethane fraction (FRDCM) was refracted in a chromatographic column, isolating eleutherol, isoeleutherin and eleutherin.

An overview of the effects of moringa oleiferaon health

The rapid growth of cities worldwide, particularly in developing countries, has increased chronic degenerative diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular diseases. Several medicinal plants such as Moringa oleifera have been considered to be used in a plethora of health conditions since they possess many properties, including antioxidant, anticancer, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, and antihypertensive actions and the ability to protect against liver damage. This study aimed to review the effects of Moringa oleifera on human health.

Phytochemical prospection, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of leaves extracts from Myrcia palustris dc

The objective of this work was to carry out an investigation regarding phytochemical prospecting of six extracts obtained from leaves of Myrcia palustris DC, namely: ethyl acetate (EAE), acetone (AE), ethanolic (EE), methanolic (ME), hexanic (HE) and distilled water (DAE), to evaluate their antimicrobial activity using the broth microdilution technique, with bacteria of medical interest, and detecting the antioxidant potential against the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazil (DPPH) method.

Responses To Menthol And Hydrogen Peroxide Over Physiology Of Potato Sprouts

Sprouting of potato tubers occurs over a prolonged storage, even at low temperatures, making tubers unsuitable for the processing industry. The application of sprouting inhibitors is an alternative; however, commercial compounds are toxic, making necessary the study of natural inhibitors, such as menthol and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The objective of this study was to evaluate the response menthol and hydrogen peroxide treatments on the physiology of sprouted tubers of ‘Markies’ potatoes in refrigerated storage for frying.
