An evaluation of childhood intoxications in the region of Rize, Turkey

Introduction: Intoxication may be defined as injury caused by the entry into the body of a toxic substance or by a high dose of a substance that is not toxic in normal doses, or as exposure to a substance causing side-effects on any function of the organism. Intoxications are preventable causes of morbidity and mortality among childhood emergency diseases. Agents of intoxication vary depending on age, sex, the family’s education level, the customs and traditions of the region involved and the season.

Variation of depth of cut on al7075-t6 and fly ash metal matrix composite in abrasive waterjet cutting

Aluminium metal matrix composite is advances in manufacturing of new composite production. Present work carries an investigation of variation of depth of cut on Al7075-T6 and Fly ash metal matrix composites (AMMCs) in Abrasive water jet cutting (AWJC). The aluminum metal matrix was casted in stir casting process with variation of fly ash percentage (15%, 20% and 25%). The four samples namely pure aluminum sample and the three AMMCs are cut with AWJC by variation of different parameters to attain the optimization of the cutting condition in each sample.

Increasing teacher teaching ability and teaching learning process at school

This research aims to describe and analyses about the increasing teacher teaching ability and teaching learning process quality at school through developing the teachers’ competences and the teacher educational background. The research method uses quantitative analyses is a descriptive analyses, correlation analyses and regression, quantitative analyses used in research is to find out relationship the teacher competence, teacher educational background toward teacher teaching ability and teaching learning process quality.

Susceptibility of multi-drug resistant staphylococcus aureus to combined extracts of uvaria chamae, holarrhena floribunda and senna occidentalis

Multi-Drug Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a serious clinical problem because of its ability to acquire resistance to most antibiotics which consequently reduce treatment successes. In the present study, efficacy of combined leaf extracts of U. chamae, H. floribunda and S. occidentalis against five multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus isolated from wound swabs was evaluated. The antibiogram was determined by Kirby Bauer technique while in vitro antibacterial efficacy of the plant extracts evaluated using agar well diffusion.

A review on characterization and application of fly ash zeolites

zeolites are aluminosiliceous minerals which are well-known for their porous crystal structures and chemical characteristics. Due to these capabilities, researchers have synthesized zeolites from substances containing alumina and silica, viz. kaolin, sediments, etc. In this context, fly ash has been perceived to be a prospective raw material for zeolitization since it can undergo geopolymerisation in an alkaline medium at specific conditions of temperature and pressure. Since several decades, naturally occurring zeolites have been used for animal husbandry and agri- and aqua-culture.
