SANDALWOOD CULTIVATION

Sandalwood is a kind of semi-parasitic plant (semi-obligate or hemi-parasitic). This plant is associated with other plants (host) through haustoria to obtain nutrients. Some elements are obtained from the soil such as calcium (Ca) and potassium (K). Minerals in solution form are obtained from host plants such as nitrogen (N), phospor (P), sodium (Na) and amino acids. Thus it can be concluded that the cultivation of sandalwood absolutely requires the host plant. Various host plants will improve the quality of its oil content.

Technique and development of modern fabric decoration in Nigeria

This study has dealt into the technique and development of handcrafted dyed and printed textiles in South-Western Nigeria, using Abeokuta, Oshogbo and Akure as study areas. The study looked into the modern development and decoration of handcrafted dyed and printed fabrics among various strata of the society. It examined the techniques in use and ascertained its development to modern fabric decoration. Questionnaire was distributed to the producers, traders of these crafts and consumers.

Empirical overview of the relationship between job satisfaction and emotional maturity of secondary school teachers

The purpose of the study is to assess the relationship between job satisfaction and emotional maturity among secondary school teachers in Jammu Division. The paper consists of 240 sample. For the collection of data teachers job satisfaction by Nasrin and A. Annes and emotional maturity scale by investigator was used. Multistage probability sampling technique was used in the study. The main findings of the study showed that there was a significant positive relation between job satisfaction and emotional maturity among secondary school teachers.

Effects of pastoralists’ in-migration on socio-economic activities of the natives in rufiji district, Tanzania

This study examined the socio-economic changes of the natives as a result of pastoralists’ in-migration to Rufiji District. Household survey, focus group discussions and interviews were applied in the process of data collection. Content analysis was used in qualitative data analysis. Binary logistic regression was used to assess the impact factors for participation in new economic activities. Ranking technique established the priority of the mentioned economic activities before and after the arrival of pastoralists.
