Endometriosis is a severe and chronic degenerative disease commonly associated with endometritis. It is characterized by fibrosis of the endometrium and cystic dilation of endometrial glands. In mares, endometriosis is a leading cause of infertility and can result in significant economic losses in horse breeding populations. While the exact etiology of endometriosis remains multifactorial and incompletely understood, histopathological changes in the endometrium are considered as pathogonomic feature.

Understanding the factors associated with these behaviors is essential, particularly in specific populations such as university professors. This study aimed to examine the prevalence of sedentary behavior and physical activity levels among university professors and identify associated factors. Method: This cross-sectional study included professors from two universities in Goiás, Brazil.

Shaktism in Hindu Religion: Concepts and chronology

Shaktism is a cult of Hinduism that focuses on worship of the Goddess (feminine God). Goddess is worshiped in many forms, such as, the violent Durga, the fearsome Kali, the nurturing Parvati, or the gentle Lakshmi, among others. The article deals with the early origins of Shaktism, its philosophical development, and present-day forms. Different denominations of Shaktism, like folk Shaktism, tantric Shaktism and devotional Shaktism are also covered.

Objetivo: Descrever um estudo de caso de paciente com diagnóstico de injúria renal aguda associada a síndrome de Haff.

The current relevance of vaccination for covid-19, influenza, poliomyelitis, measles and smallpox

Objective: The study’s main purpose was to determine the significance and impact of COVID-19, Poliomyelitis, Influenza, Measles, and Smallpox vaccination in contemporary times. Methods: An integrative literature review was performed using a 5-year longitudinal approach (2017-2022) in the following databases: Google Scholar, CAPES Periodicals, MEDLINE from the Virtual Health Library, PUBMED, Scielo, and LILACS. The search was conducted using the following descriptors: Vaccination/Prevention/COVID-19/Poliomyelitis/Influenza/Measles/Smallpox/ Vaccination Coverage/ Epidemiology.

Empirical modelling of green water: A case of wami ruvu basin, Tanzania

Green water supports the entire terrestrial environment, ensuring human survival and access to food. Overuse and loss of natural resources have led to a decline in green water throughout the time. The postulated causative factors of green water availability are precipitation, temperature, land cover changes, human population increase, relative humidity and sunshine intensity. Interrelationships between them at the local and global level is unknown.

Nesse sentido, a insulina tem como ação a inibição da lipólise, promovendo a síntese de glicogênio, proteína e gordura, resultando em efeitos anabólicos. Todavia, este trabalho tem como objetivo principal demonstrar por meio de trabalhos já publicados, a relação da insulina no processo de emagrecimento, além de demonstrar os riscos e benefícios de tal fato. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, no modelo descritivo analítico.

Conhecimentos dos alunos da graduação em enfermagem na interface a espiritualidade/religiosidade

Objetivo: Comparar a religiosidade e espiritualidade (R/E) dos estudantes de enfermagem matriculados nos primeiros e últimos períodos do curso de graduação. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo transversal e descritivo, de cunho quantitativo, incluindo 103 estudantes dos cursos de Enfermagem do estado da Bahia. A pesquisa foi aprovada no CEP sob parecer de número 3.977.832. Para mensuração do envolvimento religioso foi utilizada a escala DUREL, Religiosidade Organizacional (RO), Religiosidade Não Organizacional (RNO) e Religiosidade Intrínseca, enquanto que para a espiritualidade a SSRS.
