Psychosocial risks in the performance of the members of the public prosecution service of the state of pará

The reasons why people seek medical and psychological care, temporary leaving their job functions, require attention by the institution's managing body, and the descriptive knowledge of such problems is an important step for coping with them, according to the data presented on the members of the Ministério Público Estadual (Brazilian Government Agency for Law Enforcement and Prosecution of Crimes at State level), which shows prevalence of women being cared for and of the 41-60 years old age group, with possible evidence of psychosocial risks at work.

The role of assessment and feedback in motivating students learning: the case of Entoto Amba Secondary School, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

This research explores the role of assessment and feedback as a motivational tool in enhancing students’ attention in language learning. To accomplish the aim of the research, the closed-ended questionnaire was used to collect the required data. The targeted population for this research was teachers and students of the Entoto Amba secondary school. In this research, the primary data was used for gathering information. The collected data is analyzed and interpreted qualitatively and quantitatively.

Improving efl learners reading performance

Reading is considered as a vital skill in learning, and reading ability is necessary for any learner searching for success. The study aims at investigating the importance of reading skills for EFL learners and examining EFL students ability to be a better readers. To achieve such a skill, learners need to be exposed to a wide range of written texts and taught effective reading comprehension strategies. The study also reviles that extensive reading promotes reading fluency and increases reading speed. Major elements of fluency are speed of reading, accuracy, and proper expressions.

Spatial analysis of urban green spaces in an indigenous african city

Green spaces are vegetation areas in urban landscapes, including forests, parks, gardens, wetlands and street trees. Their loss has great consequences for the aesthetic, recreational, economic and human health value and sustainability of urban environments. The literature on urban green spaces has focused on locations and effects on human well-being with limited attention to the spatio-temporal patterns of green spaces. Ibadan is Africa’s largest traditional city with a long history of green spaces which has reduced over the years, thus providing a suitable environment for this research.

The relationship between type ii diabetes mellitus and hypertension among the patients attended Al-Leith hospital

This study was conducted in order to find the relationship between Diabetes Mellitus type II (D.M) and hypertension, and to know which one may cause the other from records of 53 patients who are frequently visiting the Center for Chronic Diseases. Also a questionnaire was designed to study the relationship of the two diseases among 31 patients. Considering the factors of sex, age and weight, five consecutive readings of blood pressure and blood sugar, were collected and analyzed. Also the data of the questionnaire was analyzed.

O açaizeiro (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) é uma palmeira nativa da região amazônica e se destaca por sua grande importância econômica com a produção de frutos e extração de palmito, diante disso, o estudo da calagem faz-se de extrema importância para sua produção, visto que a acidez do solo é um fator limitante. Desta forma, este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a produção de matéria seca em plantas jovens de açaizeiro em função da calagem. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em casa de vegetação na Fazenda Escola de Igarapé-açu.

Hygienic assessment of residual amounts of chemical substances in milk and dairy products in a daily diet of nutrition of the population of the fergana valley

This article examines the residual amounts of chemicals in the composition of milk and dairy products in the daily diet of the population. The chemical substances studied residual amounts of salts of heavy metals, like lead, mercury, cadmium, copper, also nitrates and nitrites, mycotoxins. The study was conducted using hygienic, chemical, instrumental and statistical methods for the study of milk and dairy products produced by dairy enterprises and private farms in the Fergana, Namangan and Andijan regions.

Instruments measuring quality of life of people with chronic wounds: a scoping review protocol

Objective: Map the types and details of instruments used in the assessment health-related quality of life (HRQoL) available to people with chronic wounds. Materials and Methods: systematic scoping review study will follow the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute and the conformities recommended by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR): Checklist and Explanation. The databases MEDLINE (PubMed), CINAHL (EBSCO), Web of Science and Scopus will be used for the search.

Pulse oximetry in the detection of congenital heart diseases in newborns in neonatal unit: knowledge and practices of health professionals

Congenital cardiac anomalies are characterized by structural abnormalities or cardiocirculatory appearing during their formation, being present since birth and may lead to death in intrauterine life, childhood or adult life, requiring diagnosis in the first days of life because of their rapid evolution. Early diagnosis by means of oximetry and echocardiography tests increases the chances of survival, reducing neonatal mortality. Nurses and physicians involved should know their possible results.
