Research on nondestructive testing and evaluation method of heat transfer tube based on probability theory

COVID-19 The integrity evaluation of heat transfer tubes is an important part of nuclear power safety. The capability evaluation of nondestructive testing is an inevitable requirement for the development of quality evaluation. On the basis of case analysis, two parameters of uncertainty (M) and detection credibility (N) are introduced to evaluate nondestructive testing capability. The uncertainty is expressed by the relative value of the difference between the detection failure probability and the real failure probability.

The aim of this study was to identify the spatial distribution of the elderly in the city of Maringá, Paraná, according to the prevalence of IC. This is a cross-sectional survey conducted with 377 elderly users from all Basic Health Units (UBS) in the city. The Rome III Criteria were used to define the presence of IC. Data analysis was performed using the local empirical Bayesian Estimator, the global Moran index. Statistical analyzes were performed with the aid of the statistical environment R (R Development Core Team), version 3.3.1 (p≤0.05).

Does sprout control treatments affect qualitative interactions analysis onfried chips of sweet potatoes cv. brs rubissol?

Sweet potatoes roots have become the focus of research in the past recent years due to their unique nutritional and functional properties. Under Brazilian climate conditions, sweet potato cultivar BRS Rubissol has high yield on average 40 tonnes per hectare and presents excellent quality for industrial processing; however, when the roots are stored at room temperature, the shelf life is over in two to four weeks due to the sprouting and weight loss (withered).

Management of academic projects in higher education institutions under the focus of the professor and researcher

Risk management is adecision making and execution process that aims to identify, assess, and control threats and effects of risk in an organization. To increase the success rate of project development, the literature suggests the need for effective risk management practices. Although this management is a fundamental task for organizations and their projects, they not always perceived it, risking possible failures.

Use of foundry waste as aggregatein semi-dry precast concrete mixtures to produce paving blocks

The foundry waste generated during the production of cast iron has been studied for being used as a byproduct in civil construction industry. This study evaluated the feasibility of using two types of foundry waste— phenolic sand (PSW) and green sand (GSW)—as partial replacement material of natural fine aggregate to offer technical and environmental advantages. The foundry waste was mixed before using in order to obtain one final product with 60%wt of PSW and 40%wt of GSW.

A maturity model for sustainability in product development

Incorporating business strategies and supporting long-term view for companies is a challenge. In order to help companies to move towards a sustainable business agenda, this article proposes a model to evaluate maturity in terms of sustainability in product development from the perspective of eco-efficiency and eco-effectiveness. The model was developed using the Design Research method. An initial conceptual model was developed based on a literature study. This interactive process resulted in 42 items, a maturity scale, which affords to distinguish the options in the scale.
