The different processes in the cycle of human life
Objective: to establish the differences and paths of human development, aging and old age. Method: an integrative review extracted from the gerontological literature. 16 scientific articles were used, published from 2002 to 2016 and 04 scientific articles published between the years 1969 and 1996, in addition to 08 books, which enabled analysis of the life cycle processes. Results: the processes of development and aging should not be considered as identical, but as different divisions of the stages in the life cycle of individuals, with old age being a stage of development.
