Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is caused by kidney damage, which causes a loss of function. In the most advanced form, it generates to the patient the need for renal replacement therapies, such as hemodialysis (HD). One of the HD quality indicators is water quality. This study's objective was to demonstrate, discuss, and synthesize the importance of monitoring HD water treatment and verify the incidents of adverse events caused by contaminants.

Objetivo: Elencar, analisar e discorrer sobre os benefícios do aleitamento materno para a saúde da mulher. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica da literatura, onde, para sua elaboração foram pesquisados artigos nas bases de dados: PubMed, Scielo e periódicos na revista médica Acta Pediatrica. Para a busca, empregaram-se os seguintes termos, “Aleitamento materno”, “importância da amamentação”, “saúde da mulher” e “benefícios da amamentação para a mulher”.

High-risk pregnancy implies a context in which the life and health of the mother and/or the fetus/newborn are more likely to be affected than those of the general population. Stressful events in pregnancy may affect the mental health of women in this scenario. It was sought to explore which are the impacts on the mental health of pregnant women and the repercussions of high-risk on other gestational psychological phenomena. In this narrative review, a search for articles was carried out, published between 2010 and 2020, on the BVS, PePSIC, SciELO, LILACS, EBSCOhost, and Google Scholar.

Objective: to describe the benefits of paternal presence during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Methodology: this is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. Results: it is important not only to encourage the presence of the father for all women, but also that they are prepared and oriented to help the woman during childbirth and birth, assuming an active participation in this period that involves so many emotions.

Background: Penal institutions have the rehabilitation and resocialization of criminals as their primary aim, transforming and reintegrating them back into society as productive citizens. One possible way of accomplishing this is through the practice of sports, which may be beneficial for the reintegration of these detainees into society. Objective: To investigate the effect of playing soccer on the aggression of inmates at a maximum-security prison.

This work highlights two Brazilian literary works of fiction that have slavery as a context: O demônio familiar (1857), by José de Alencar and Simeão, o crioulo (1869), by Joaquim Manuel de Macedo. The political positions of each author regarding the abolition of slavery in the country and the way in which they come to life in the texts will be emphasized, both bringing the black slave as a central, manipulative and perverse character.

Objective: To describe the maternal mortality profile of a high-risk maternal and child hospital in the Northeast. Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study, carried out at Hospital Dom Malan, located in Petrolina, Pernambuco Brazil, with secondary data from medical records of women who died due to direct and indirect obstetric causes, during pregnancy or up to 42 days postpartum, with an investigation completed by the Hospital Commission for a study on Maternal Mortality at the same institution, during the period from 2013 to 2017.

Objective: To identify the profile and working conditions of the Nursing team in coping with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Macroregion Jequitinhonha. Methods: Quantitative descriptive cross-sectional study, with the application of a questionnaire (Google Forms), containing 19 closed questions. 150 nursing professionals from Jequitinhonha, active in the pandemic of COVID-19, were questioned. Results: The findings showed that among the interviewees, 45.3% worked in tertiary care.

A estimativa da produtividade, como suporte para projeções ou previsões de safra, é comumente realizada por meio de coletas de informações em campo, geralmente imprecisas, demoradas e com alto custo de execução. Neste contexto, tem-se o sensoriamento remoto com grande potencial para estimar a produtividade do óleo de Palma por meio de índices de vegetação. Objetivo deste experimento foi estimar a produtividade de plantios em início da vida produtiva da palmeira, para posterior correlação com plantios maduros.
