Convergence of communication mix models and land expropriation: lessons from Nigeria

With the number of unrests, social disorder and litigations that follow land expropriation in the global south, the compendium of land administration, marketing and real estate fields lacks a vivid operationalization of the extent to which communication mix models are integrated in land expropriation practices globally. The study therefore analyzes the convergence of the variables from a Nigerian perspective with a view to extricate pertinent lessons on the communications mix-land expropriation nexus.

Social inequality is a fundamental element for dimensioning territorial indicators in addressing the urban social issue, especially in the study of the social exclusion / inclusion relationship and, consequently, for the elaboration of comprehensive and inclusive public policies. Crucially, social vulnerability is defined as a situation in which the resources and skills of a given social group are insufficient and inadequate to deal with the opportunities offered by society. The objective was to identify areas of social vulnerability in the municipality of Campina Grande.

Rural non-farm employment and sustainable rural livelihood approaches: revising the toolkits

The lessening of rural poverty continues to be a paramount goal of the developing countries as the majority of their poor population still resides in the countryside. The World Bank, for example, estimates that more than 70 percent of the world’s poor reside in rural areas. So far, various strategies have been applied to address this concern, and among the major ones is rural employment creation. The agriculture sector has played a central role in providing rural employment opportunities in different countries.

Higher education and industrialization in Tanzania

This study was conducted with its main thrust being the unravelling of the elements of mismatch between higher education and the needs of industries. Bothquantitative and qualitative methods were used to collectdata from higher learning institutions, graduates, employers and government agencies. The mismatches uncovered included the insufficiency of soft skills in the labour market that are highly needed by industry: the ability of graduates to analyze situations and propose solutions, leadership and innovation and graduates’ ability to take responsibility of own actions and inactions.

Algebraic analysis of Benin Public debt sustainability

The outstanding public debt of Benin on June 30, 2020 was FCFA 4,251.44 billion compared to FCFA 3, 857.97 billion on March 31, 2020 (CAA, 2020). The corresponding indebtedness ratios are 43.9% (1st term of 2020) and 48.4% (2nd term of 2020). Such indebtedness progress deserves an analysis of Benin public debt sustainability. The aim of this study is to carry on the algebraic analysis of Benin public debt sustainability. This approach is based on the control of indebtedness ratio through intertemporal budgetary constraint.
