Genetic variation of 15 autosomal short tandem repeat (str) loci in sample of palestinian population residing in Iraq

Allele frequencies for the 15 autosomal STR loci included in the AmpFlSTR1 Identifiler TM PCR Amplification Kit panel from Applied Biosystems (D3S1358, vWA, FGA, D8S1179, D21S11, D18S51, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, TH01, TPOX, CSF1PO, D19S433, D2S1338, D16S539) and several statistical parameters were estimated from a sample of 106 unrelated individuals. samples were extracted using a Prep Filer Forensic DNA Extraction Kit (Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA), DNA quantified using Nano drop Thomson.

Assesment of sulfur containing air pollutants in utilizing the sulfur extended asphalt concrete mixes in Saudi Arabia

The rapid economic growth witnessed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has brought about an increasing demand for fossil fuels, leading to the substantial release of major airborne pollutants. Acquiring a better knowledge of their distribution and behavior is a prerequisite to further development. In the Gulf region, particularly in Saudi Arabia, because of the increase in number of oil and gas refineries, the production of sulfur as a by-product has increased tremendously from 400 to 6000 tons/day.

The hunger, poverty and silence: The synergy of threats to development and progress

With the spurt of the new global order in terms of liberalization, privatization and globalization that got off to a swash bucking debut in the decades of 90’s, the concept and perception of poverty and hunger have undergone a sea-change. Across the world, one billion people are now reeling under abject poverty and hunger. This is basically a threat to the human kind for their mere biological existence. Poverty is now even hatched a wider expanse of impacts over the geography of hunger. Around 895 million people across the world have been plunged to BPL (Below Poverty Line) status.

Equilibrium, thermodynamics and kinetics study of doxycycline adsorption from aqueous solution using spent black tea leaves and pomegranate peel wastes

Pharmaceutical antibiotics also known anti-bacteria, which inhibit the growth of bacteria and various infections. Doxycycline (DOC) is a member of the tetracycline antibiotics which is frequently used to treat many different bacterial infection such as Chronic Prostitutes, Pelvic inflammatory disease and etc. Also Doxycycline has been demonstrated to reduce the invitro. growth of human breast and Prostate cancer cell, but at the sometime they have a negative effect on the environment when its presence in the industrial waste water .

Brand name versus generic drugs: A point of view on the safety and efficacy

A generic drug is a pharmaceutical product, usually intended to be interchangeable with an innovator product, that is manufactured without a license from the innovator company and marketed after the expiry date of the patent or other exclusive rights. The paper summarizes the limited knowledge of the long-term economic impact of natural disasters. It is necessary to draw links among disasters, conflicts, resource management, and other transmission channels to develop an appropriate response to natural disasters.

Review on positive role of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in seed germination

In many seeds, the process of germination features testa rupture and endosperm rupture are two separate events. Endosperm rupture requires cell wall weakening in the endosperm layer. Puncture force measurements are a useful tool for quantifying this endosperm weakening. Various mechanisms have been proposed to promote endosperm weakening. Endosperm weakening requires cell wall weakening. This process involves cleavage of cell wall polymers or loosening of bonds between the polymers. Several molecular mechanisms have been proposed for endosperm weakening.

GIS based optimal collection routing model for municipal solid waste: case study in Singanallur, India

In this paper an attempt has been made to develop an appropriate storage and collection plan based on optimal routing model using Geologic Information System in one of the wards of the Singanallur, Coimbatore city, India. The ward map is digitized and geo- referenced. The collection bins are attributed and collection routes of the MSW are optimized for degradable and recyclable wastes separately. The optimized route covered by the collection vehicle during the collection of recyclable wastes is 82.5% lesser than the degradable wastes.
