The coming centuries saw  the changing  of the form of colonialism to new colonialism, imperialism, imperialism of free trade, new imperialism and now it has emerged in the form of Globalization .Cultural globalization refers to the transmission of ideas, meanings and values across national borders.

Physico-chemical status of Dihaila lake at Karera as a primary data for sustainable management

Dihaila Lake is a part of cultural, economical, irrigational and recreational life of Dihaila and Rajpur village. Dihaila Lake is one of the shelter water bodies for migratory birds in Karera Bustard Sanctuary. It is facing multifold pressure due to human interference, agricultural waste discharge, domestic waste discharge, cattle grazing, bathing and washing, agricultural practices and wetland encroachment. Different study stations at Dihaila Lake exhibited seasonal and inter-site variations in physico-chemical parameters.

The decline of the Mughal empire and the emergence of political awareness: Global perspectives

The Enlightenment is much more than the historical period. It helps us to understand the distant conclusions towards which certain assumptions lead; and to decide whether or not, that is where we want to go. Enlightenment shaped out past and present. It is the story of man’s first attempt to come to grips with the contemporary world and all its unsolved problems. Enlightenment was not about beliefs or opinion but an attitude of mind; about the nature and man’s place in it, could be understood in terms of general laws that were applicable to everything that existed.

The dilemma of Nigerians in Nigeria

The social ontology and the social structure of Nigeria reveal in a naked  form the dilemma in which an average Nigerian living in Nigeria is presented  with. An average Nigerian finds himself/herself positioned in between the red sea and the devil. The Nigerian social ontology exalts money as the ideal and idolized those who meet this ideal, condemning those who are unfortunate to  meet it to the status of nonentities. Since no sane person would want to be seen as a nonentity, he/she would strive to become (somebody) by attaining the standard of measure of the ideal (wealth).

Microfinance is an anti-poverty tool for rural development: A study

Micro-credit or micro finance is the extension of very small loans (micro loans) to the unemployed persons, to poor entrepreneurs, to households, to farmers and to others living in poverty who are often left out of the formal banking system, because of several reasons: their inability to provide collateral, the high risks in lending to them, the rigid formalities that are a part of the formal lending system and the high costs. As a result, the poor often have to resort to informal moneylenders, who charge high rate of interest and often exploit the situation.

Video monitoring and motion detection system based on arm-LINUX platform and http protocol with SMS capability

In this paper, a solution about the design of remote video monitoring system based on Arm-Linux platform and http protocol is introduced. And the embedded system, video capture, motion detection, short message service (SMS) alarm, and client video monitor are introduced. Video 4 Linux is used to get the camera video data, which is transferred to the Web Server, and the data is displayed on the client browser. The system can also be connected with mobile phones, using SMS to control alarm equipment. The system can be applied all kinds of video surveillance systems.

Dam induced development- a study of Mahi Bajaj Sagar project in Banswara, Rajasthan (India)

The present research study elucidates on some socio-economic implications of Mahi dam project in the tribal district Banswara of Rajasthan (India). The dam induced impact should be assessed and addressed accordingly for the development of the larger marginalised groups like tribal population of India.  The research study carried out with the indigenous Adivasi people Bheel, Meena, Maida, Charpota, Garasia and Kataria tribes of dam irrigated areas that are in the process of witnessing later effect of dam construction.

Agricultural development and sources of growth of output in Himachal Pradesh

The study is conducted to estimate growth rate of area, production and productivity and measure the contribution of different components to the growth rate of the major crops in Himachal Pradesh. The study is based on secondary sources of data covering the period from 1966-67 to 2006-07. The crops selected in the study are rice, wheat and maize. The growth rates are worked out for major crops by using exponential function. The contribution of area, yield and interaction to increase in production is worked out by using decomposition analysis.

A study of the determinants of Anaemia among under-five children in Ghana

In spite of the numerous interventions in place to control anaemia in Ghana, the prevalence of anaemia among under-five children is still high and classified as a severe public health problem. The study examined socio-demographic factors influencing anaemia among under-five children using the Ghana Demographic and Health Survey data of 2008. The general objective of the study was to assess socio-demographic characteristics of household associated with anaemia among under-five children in Ghana.

Efficient way to detect fault node using round trip delay

In recent years, Wireless sensor nodes are used in various applications to gather information. The sensor nodes which are deployed in the sensing area are prone to failure due to various reasons like malfunctioning, out of range, energy dissipation and so on. These sensor nodes have to identified and recovered to maintain the good quality of service (QoS). In this paper, the concept of RTT is implemented which is used to calculate the round trip time (RTT). Based on the RTT calculated, a fault node can be identified easily with the help of round trip delay (RTD).
