The impact of marine N-3 PUFA on coronary heart disease and sudden cardiac death- review

Objective: After few reports about protective effect on coronary heart disease, the therapeutic use of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid aroused .Many studies and meta-analyses have reported that the risk of Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) and Cardiovascular (CV) death  reduced with the intake of fish and n-3 PUFA. n-3 PUFA may also modulate autonomic control of the heart because it’s abundant in the brain and other nervous tissue as well as in cardiac tissue. This might explain the protection against sudden cardiac death (SCD) by n-3 PUFA.

Entomopathogenic nematodes, farmers best friend!

Agriculture is the keystone of the Indian economy contributing nearly 18 per cent to country’s GDP. Our country has achieved a fivefold increase in food grain production of 263.20 million tons in 2013-14 giving food securities for more than 1.27 billion Indian population. Still factors like insect pests, diseases, weeds, rodents etc., take a heavy toll in agriculture production. The losses though cannot be eliminated altogether, these can be reduced. Till now, chemical pesticides were increasingly relied upon to limit the production losses.

Implementation of hybrid classification model in distributed systems for network monitoring

The main objective of this study is to compare SVM (Support Vector Machine) classification algorithm and Neural Networks classification algorithms identify the pitfalls and propose a new hybrid classification algorithm which is reliable, fast, efficient and robust handling large data sets. A new version of Support Vector Machine algorithm is designed and developed in the study which is used for training the dataset followed by testing using Neural Networks classification algorithm.
