Actions performed by the family health support centers: an analysis of the results from the second cycle of the national program for access and quality improvement in primary care

Matrix support, in Brazilian primary health care, is characterized as a device for reorganization of the work processes, which encourages the expansion of the clinical approach, the resolution potentiality in this area and the reflection of established practices. From this perspective, the Family Health Support Centres were created to work in partnership with primary care teams, instituting specialized assistance and aiming to provide comprehensive care. Given this established situation, this study intended to analyse the actions developed by the support centres.

Time-mortality relationship in marine ornamental harlequin shrimp hymenocera picta against white spot syndrome virus using bacterially expressed recombinant envelope proteins (vp39 and vp28)

WSSV is one of the most serious viral diseases affecting cultured shrimp worldwide This lethal virus causes formation of white spots in exoskeleton under carapace and can infect not only penaeid shrimps, but also other marine and freshwater crustaceans. The WSSV genome contains at five known major structural proteins: VP39, VP28, VP19, VP26, VP24 and VP15. Studies on WSS viral proteins have demonstrated that VP28 and VP19 are associated with the virion envelope. In the present study ,we investigated the efficacy of recombinant proteins VP39 and VP28 expressed in E.

Cold tolerance in plants: a simple phenomenon with complex signaling

Plants face different abiotic stresses that reduce crop production worldwide. Cold stress is the main abiotic stress that reduce plant yield in hilly areas. Cold resistance in plants is considered to be an interesting phenomenon with complex signaling pathways. Tolerance to cold in plants is acquired by exposing them to a low non freezing temperature and involves extensive changes at molecular level. Understanding the molecular mechanism behind the cold resistance in plants can help us to develop more and more cold tolerant plants.

Relationship between yield and yield contributing characters in f5 population of chickpea (cicer Arietinum L.)

An experiment was conducted with four selection procedures of 20 progenies [PS(EF), PS(HY), SSD and RBP] of GJG 0719 x SAKI 9516 in F5 generation in Desi chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) to study the correlation and direct and indirect effects of different characters on seed yield. Correlation coefficients of seed yield per plant with various characters within F5 generation revealed that seed yield per plant exhibited significant and positive association at genotypic and phenotypic levels with number of pods per plant in all the selection procedures of the cross.

Tourism development impacts and amelioration along coastal areas in Vietnam

Coastal tourism is a significant portion of the Vietnam’s economy due to diverse coastal environment with variety of ecosystems. These include wonderful natural scenery, sandy beaches, rocky headlands, sand dunes, mangroves, coral reefs, wetlands. However, unplanned tourism development caused obvious negative impacts on coastal environment, which will increase with exploitation unless preventive solutions are adopted.

Age analysis of centropomus nigrescens by otoliths sagitta, asteriscus and lapillus in mexican central pacific

Morphology, morphometry and growth rings of the otoliths: sagitta, asteriscus and lapillus of Centropomus nigrescens Günther 1864 in Manzanillo and Santiago bays in, Colima, Mexico were studied. Differences between sexes, as right and left of the three pairs of otoliths were analyzed. In all cases the growth of the otoliths is eccentric to the core. Relationship between fish length and length and width of the otoliths showed that these structures have a negative allometric index. Twelve growth rings were identified in sagittae and asterisci.
