A study of adhosakhagat (lower Extrimities) Marmas W.S.R. to Vaikalyakar Marmas

Marma is vital point where injury occur can lead to disability, dysfunctioning or even termination of life. It is not much developed in modern science. Acharya sushruta and vagbhata have explained it in detail in Sharirasthana of their respective samhitas. Almost all the samhitas of ayurveda have mentioned the total number of marma as 107. Marma’ s are the conglomeration of Mamsa, Sira, Snayu, Asthi and Sandhi. Little injuries to these marma points or anatomical areas can be fetal comparing with major injuries at anywhere else in the body.

Phylogenetic relationship of ten ipomoea jacq. species based on proteins and isozyme analysis

The genotype of an organism expresses itself through the phenotype that is through proteins. Protein molecular markers provide indirect information about plant genome structure. Quantitative estimation of protein content from germinating seedlings was performed by Lowry assay. Total soluble protein analysis of all the species of Ipomoea under study was carried out by Native PAGE and SDS-PAGE, followed by isozyme analysis for Esterases (EST), Peroxidases (POX), Malate dehydrogenase (MDH), Ribulose bis-phosphate carboxylase-oxygenase (RUBISCO).

Lipidmediators pro-inflammationresolution in periodontal disease: review of literature

Periodontitis is classified as an inflammatory disease of the tissues of dental support caused by the deregulated production of inflammatory mediators against bacterial plaque, capable of destroying the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone, and can be of three types: chronic, aggressive and with manifestation of systemic diseases. The inflammatory process is the body's first defense response to disease facilities. However, exacerbation of the condition with excessive demand for inflammatory mediators may lead to the destruction of host tissue and produce irreversible pathologies.

Isolation and identification of multi drug resistant biofilm producer pseudomonas aeruginosa from patients with burn wound infection in basra province/Iraq

Clinical specimens were collected from 120 patients, 44 of them are males and 76 females with age range 1-70 years. A total of 49(40.8%) isolates were diagnosed as P. aeruginosa based on a number of tests and confirming by using 16SrDNA gene specific for P. aeruginosa. Results showed that the highest antibiotic resistance was in 40(81.6%) isolates resistant to Amikacin (AK), while 26(53.1%) isolates were sensitive to Colistin (CT). All isolates were resistant to more than three antibiotics, therefore classified P.

Influence of different growth regulators on propagation of Lemonia (Ravenia spectabilis and Ravenia spectabilis variegata) in sub-tropial zone

The present investigation was carried out to study the effect of different growth regulators on propagation of Ravenia Spp. in subtropical zone under naturally ventilated polyhouse equipped with foggers at Mandouri farm of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia,West Bengal. Significant differences among the treatments (IAA @1000ppm, IAA@2000ppm, IAA @3000ppm, IBA @1000ppm, IBA @2000ppm, IBA @3000ppm, NAA @1000ppm, NAA @2000ppm, NAA @3000ppm and Control) on root emergence and proliferation were noticed.

Biofertilizers obtained from fish by-products aimed at improving the biological functions of soils and plants. application to corn silage

The national halieutic production reached in 2014 a quantity of 1353 780 tons. The industry of transformation and valuation of the products of the peach in Morocco occupies an important place in the national economy because it’s treats about 70 % of the captures of the coast fishing and exports approximately 85 % of its production on hundred countries in the five continents. Now the pelagic fish industry generates a significant amount of waste up to 60%, are generally filed anarchically in the nature in the garbage dump and caused a negative impact on the environment and public health.

Clinical profile of undergraduate students with severe temporomandibular disorder: a case study

Objectives: To describe the clinical characteristics of undergraduate students with severe TMD. Methods: Study case, descriptive, with a convenience sample of 30 students of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Maranhão, classified as severe temporomandibular disorder through the Fonseca’s Anamnesic Index; after the clinical examination (Axis I) of the Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorderswas used. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test and the Spearman correlation test considering a significance when p<0,05.

Growth charts among a selected sample of lebanese infants from birth until 2 years of age: association with breastfeeding and child rank in the family

Growth is a very important marker for child’s health, therefore monitoring it with growth charts is essential. The aim of this study is to develop specific growth charts for Lebanese children and to determine the influence of gender, breastfeeding duration and child’s rank in the family on children’s development and the corresponding growth charts. Thus, this retrospective study was performed in Lebanon on 400 infants from birth until 2 years of age. The data was collected from the files of four pediatricians, and analyzed on SPSS. The charts were established on Microsoft Excel.

Arginase-1, fibronectin, il-13, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 as indicator hepatocellular carcinoma on sprague-dawleyrats induced by diethylnitrosamine and n-morpholine

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) characterized by stromal fibrosis develops in 90% of cases of liver cirrhosis, during the clinical course of chronic liver inflammation. Arginase-1 (Arg-1), fibronectin (FN), IL-13, and the inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) are important regulators of proliferation, differentiation, tumorigenesis.. This study was conducted to investigate the progression of liver fibrosis (cirrhosis) to HCC by inducing diethyl-nitrosamine (DEN) and N-nitrosomorpholine (N-Mor) in Spraque-Dawleyrats.
