Senegal is one of the largest rice importing countries in West Africa with rice production that still fails to meet consumer demands. The State has made great efforts to make up for the deficit in local production by setting up the Program for the Acceleration of the Agricultural Cadence in Senegal (PRACAS) and the National Program for Self-sufficiency in Rice (PNAR), whose objective is to satisfy national demand with a halt in imports.

In order to promote the commercial utilization of wild edible fungi resources, the nutritional value of wild Lactarius vividus, L. hatsudake and Lactifluus volemus with good industrialization potential was studied. The water, ash, crude fat, crude protein, crude polysaccharide, amino acid, vitamin and mineral elements were detected by the methods of national standard.

Introdução: Para o Ministério da Saúde (2022) a Chikungunya é uma arbovirose cujo agente etiológico é transmitido pela picada de fêmeas infectadas do gênero Aedes. Harmful algal blooms (HABs) pose significant threats to aquatic ecosystems, human health, and coastal economies worldwide. The causative agents of HABs are primarily dinoflagellates Marglefidiniumpolykrikoides and Prorocentrum minimum), and diatoms (Chaetocerostenuissimus, Fragilaria radians, Phaeodactylumtricornutum, and Skeletonemamarinoi), which produce various toxins that exacerbate the harmful effects. Metacaspase, a toxin-producing protein, has emerged as a critical component in the pathogenesis of HABs.

In this paper, we revisit Higher Education 4.0 and examine the power of universities as agents of new knowledge and innovations, for sustainable community development and progressive society building. With the benefit of retrospective economic analysis, we may posit that universities will continue to be central to socio-economic development. We can envision that in the face of a changing economic landscape, universities have the potential to serve as powerful agents of change toward a more equitable, just, and sustainable world.
