Environmental Challenges For Ocean Energy Generation

The world’s depleting fossil fuels have put the globe into serious global warming concern. Normally, these fossil fuels emit greenhouse gases when burnt in most of the industrial processes and as well in automobiles. The earth’s economic activities have therefore triggered high energy demand which has put the world into acute energy shortage. This global energy insecurity has attracted the technological research on how to ensure there is constant supply of energy owing to the increasing energy demand.

An Analysis Of Physical Performance Of Footballers And Sprinters Among The School Boys

The purpose of the study was to analysze the physical performance of footballers and sprinters among the school boys. To fulfil this purpose a total of 30 Footballers and Sprinters age ranged from 14-19 years, were selected from the schools of Fatehgarh Sahib district. Speed, explosive strength and cardiovascular endurance were elected as the physical variable in the study. Speed was measured with the help of 20 Meter dash, Explosive Strength was measured by Standing Broad Jump and Cardiovascular Endurance was measured by 6 Minutes Run & Walk Test.

Development Of Capacitive Extensometer With Versatility Superior To The Resistive Extensometer

The objective of this work was to develop a capacitive extensometer containing four identical capacitives sensors that went connected in the two branches of a Wheatstone Bridge. The electrodes of the capacitives sensors were made of stainless steel to avoid corrosion with the humidity that would impair the response of the extensometer. Each sensor has an immobile electrode measuring 8.0 mm in length, 5.0 mm in width and 0.1 mm in thickness by being bonded onto an insulation holder developed with PAI66 polyamide polymer.

Gridlab-Dtm Software Efficiency Analysis Using The Newton-Raphson Method For Power Flow Analysis Of Electrical Systems Compared To Matlab®

The GridLAB-DTM, which was launched in 2007, and consists of an open platform developed by the US Department of Energy at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Firstly, this paper presents an introduction about the platform and the development of the program, followed by the presentation of the Newton-Raphson method applied to power flow. The method is part of the mathematical scope called numerical methods, which solve systems and equations in an algorithmic way, and indicates the desired precision as a stop method for the sequence of iterations performed by the method.

The Price Of Memories

Digital cameras play a significant role in the dynamics of the camera universe. The goal of this study is to predict the price of a digital camera based on a set of attributes, as well as to identify the attributes/ variables that significantly contribute to its price estimation. We obtained our data set from Perso Telecom Paristech. The dependent variable is Price (US dollars); independent variables include Weight, Model (Maker), Zoom Tele, Zoom Wide, Macro Focus Range, Dimensions, Low Resolution, and Effective Pixels.

Evaluation Of The Application Of Edible Coating The Base Of Propolis In Guavas Paluma

Coatings from non toxic natural polymers have been signed as a new category for application as edible protectors on fruit and vegetables, especially those processed. With it comes the possibility of using a natural product. The 'Paluma' guavas were processed into slices and subjected to the coatings, being divided into three groups: F1 - Processed Guava slices without coating; F2 - Processed Guava slices with 3% of crude propolis extract; F3 - Goiaba processed into slices with 5% of crude propolis extract.

Method of execution of the cable-stayed curtain: a study of the Containment of vila são bento in belo horizonte

Containment structures are structures designed to contain a mass of soil, or urban terrain, resisting buoyancy of land and water, structural loads and any other stresses induced by adjacent structures or equipment. The construction works almost always involve containment structures, which are present in projects of roads, bridges, stabilization of slopes, plumbing, sanitation, meters etc. There are several types of containment that are designed for different needs and goals, one of which is the wire curtain.

Fire In Cultural Heritage Built: The Paradigm Of The Wood Structure

This article presents the basic characteristics from the wood in fire situation and proposes an objective vision as for its answer on this type of disaster, specifically when its about constructions protected by the organs of the Brazilian historical heritage. The importance of the care and protection of these edifications is justified by what they represent for the community, for the culture and history of the place that they are inserted, so, this article pretends start a discussion more qualified as for the structural material very present in these buildings: the wood.

Renewable Energy With Emphasis On Biodiesel: Environmental Education Through Videos And Simulator

The present research had as main purpose to innovate the methodology of approach of the theme on Renewable Energy emphasizing Biodiesel through a didactic sequence applied with 14 students enrolled in the 3rd year of High School, located in the city of Cajazeiras-PB/Brasil. As a methodological resource, two videos and a simulator were used. For data collection was applied a previous questionnaire and after the execution of the didactic sequence, the students answered another questionnaire to check if in fact there was significant learning on the methodology was used.
