An economic study of tea industry in India: A stock taking for six and half decades

In this study an attempt has been made to assess the performance of tea industry in India for the past six and half decades. In order to assess the trend of the tea industry in India, the time series data have been collected from tea board of India and other published materials for the period of 67 years from 1951-52 to 2016-17.

The economic burden of mycetoma on households in the Sudan

Background: The fungal disease mycetoma, more commonly known as Madura foot after the Indian city where it was documented, enters the body through small cuts in the skin. Accurate data on the number of mycetoma patients in Sudan is difficult to obtain, in part because it is not a notifiable disease. Nevertheless, Mycetoma Research Centre (MRC) has registered over 7200 mycetoma cases in Sudan since 1991, so it is now a major public health problem with enormous cost burdens on the patients’.

The importance of martial arts in kindergarten physical education in the age group of 05 to 12 years

The purpose of this research was to describe the importance of martial arts in physical education as a form of affective socialization in education. This research is a bibliographical research, through study, with online searches in scientific publications and national journals. Introduction: The current beauty patterns have gained great emphasis each day, increasing the search by patients, of this facial beauty, which brings dentistry professionals, as well as the students. Objective: Therefore, the aim of this project is to analyze six items that, commonly, are seen in the clinic: Smile Line; Lateral incisor with a canoed autonomic shape; Color alteration; Diatom; Dental alignment and Height/width of the central superior incisors, verifying which one of those items stand out among the different perception of dental specialties.

A morphometric study of mandibular foramen and accessory mandibular foramina in adult human mandibles and its clinical implications

Introduction: The mandibular foramen (MF) is an important anatomical landmark for procedures like inferior alveolar nerve block, implant treatment and mandibular osteotomies. Accessory mandibular foramina (AMFs) may act as a route for spread of infection and tumour cells. Methods: 50 adult human mandibles were studied irrespective of age and sex. The position of MF was recorded in relation to various landmarks on mandibular ramus and presence of AMFs were noted on both sides.

Quality of life of patients with chronic renal insufficiency in hemodialysis: an integrating review

Introduction: The growing index of chronic renal patients who make use of renal replacement therapy sharpens the interest of health professionals to improve the quality of life of this population. Objective: Evaluate through an integrative review, which factors of the most affected quality of life in chronic kidney dialysis patients.

Healthcare-associated infections: professionals risk perceptions in a hospital institution

This study is a qualitative descriptive research that aimed to identify the professionals risk perception working in health services in relation to Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI). Thirty-one professionals working in a hospital in the State of Santa Catarina were interviewed. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and the data were subjected to content analysis according to Bardin, which resulted in the category "Health Services Risks".

Knowledge on risk factors of cervical cancer among women in selected community of Vazhayoor Panchayath, Malappuram

Background: Cervical cancer is the second most common type of cancer for women worldwide. It is also one of the most preventable types of cancer. Knowledge about the risk factors of cervical cancer is helpful to prevent the cervical cancer at an early stage. The present study aimed at assessing the knowledge on risk factors of cervical cancer among women in selected community. Method: The study was conducted among 60 women. The non-experimental descriptive approach and convenient sample was chosen for the study. The data for the present study were collected using structured questionnaire.

Differences between real and virtual tasks among young badminton athletes – an interdisciplinary approach for neurosciences and sports

A high-level of action anticipation is crucially for different performances in sports, such as in badminton. This work aiming tocompare the accuracy and reaction time of young competitive players in the training in real and virtual badminton tasks. Thirty-eightbadminton players were divided in three different groups depending on their experience in badminton championships (group 1 had the most and group 3 the least experience) and evaluated on two different tasks, one real and the other virtual.
