The language of music as a possibility of social criticism: results of a research-action in the context of public schools

This article presents the results of a collaborative research-action carried out at a public school in the city of Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul(RS). The activities carried out aimed to promote the improvement of teaching in the public school, so that the methodology of the research-action was configured as an alternative proposal to carry out a work with the engagement of all involved. The option for this methodology is justified by the fact that it contributes to solve problems in specific contexts, especially in the educational context.

In this aspect, school inclusion has been much debated, and this study had as central question to understand the needs of children with Down syndrome in school, aiming to identify these needs and clarify the role of parents in this context.

To reconstruct its memory of creation and its interruption (1980-2000), to understand its contributions in the sports area.We sought to analyze the trajectory of APEFELMA and its implication in the constitution of the Maranhão sports development, interpreting facts, mechanisms of actions and productions for the consolidation in the sports field.

This research aims to describe the expansive and epidemiological characteristics of Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya fever in the year 2016 and their relationship with environmental aspects in the municipality of Augustinópolis, State of Tocantins. Descriptive and cross - sectional quantitative research. The sample of this research was composed of all reported cases of Dengue, Zika and Fever Chikungunya, in the year 2016 in the municipality of Augustinópolis, State of Tocantins, made available by the Notification of Invalidity Information System.

Family caregivers’ perspectives about the care of the elderly person with Parkinson

Objective: To assess the caregivers’ perspectives about the care of the elderly person with Parkinson’s disease. Methodology: It is an exploratory study, of descriptive character with a qualitative approach held by the Snowball technique, collected in the residences of the 12 family members of the elderly people with Parkinson disease. Two instruments were used: a sociodemographic and economic questionnaire and a semi-structured interview guide. The information’s examination was carried out using the Thematic Content Analysis technique of Laurenci Bardin.

The Association of the MMSE and Operational Memory Index (WAIS III) in Elderly Persons participating in Information Technology Workshops in the Municipality of Novo Hamburgo - Brazil

Population aging is a worldwide phenomenon and has been increasing exponentially, this increase is due to several factors, but the main ones are the increase in life expectancy and the decrease in the birth rate. The main objective of this work is to analyze the association between the results of the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the Operational Memory Index (WAIS-III). The methodological design of the study is quantitative, descriptive and transversal. The sample of this study is non-probabilistic for convenience.

Factors affecting poor people’s accessibility to the micro credit from Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies - Tra Vinh branch

The study on factors influencing poor people’s accessibility to micro credit from Viet Nam Nam Bank for Social policies - Tra Vinh branch was conducted with a survey of 385 poor people in the districts of Cau Ngang, Duyen Hai, Chau Thanh, Tra Cu and Cang Long in Tra Vinh province. With the use of the Logistic regression method, the research result found that there are five factors affecting poor people’s accessibility to micro credit, including household size, level of education, average income, dependency ratio, and household savings.
