Women with mental suffering and motherhood: thematic verbal history

Objective: Display stories of women with mental suffering on the experiences of motherhood. Method: A descriptive, exploratory research with qualitative approach, performed in a Psychosocial Care Center in the countryside of a state of northeastern Brazil. The production of material occurred by means of interviews with six collaborators, using questions from a cohort based on theoretical assumptions of Oral History Theme.

Functional assessment of elderly patients with stroke sequels in the family health strategy

Stroke stands out as one of the major health concerns not only because it is a major cause of death but also the sequelae left, especially in the elderly population. This article aims to evaluate the functionality of elderly people with stroke in the Family Health Strategy (FHS). This is a descriptive quantitative research, conducted in 14 FHS units in the urban area of Cajazeiras, State of Paraíba. The sample consisted of 65 elderly with stroke sequelae in that municipality and the research was conducted from February to April 2014.

Objective: it was to investigate the difficulties that mothers face in keeping the childhood immunization schedule up to date, based on this information, strategies that can reduce circumvention can be developed.

Health informatics: perception of graduands about its application in the nursing professional practice

Objective: To understand the perception of nursing students on the application of informatics in health from the perspective of competencies recommended by the National Curricular Guidelines of the Nursing undergraduate course. Methods: Exploratory, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, performed with 84 Nursing students from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), who had attended the Informatics Applied to Nursing subject between the years 2014 and 2015. A semi-structured instrument was used for data collection and analysis, descriptive statistics.

Coping of stress by yoga performers and non yoga performers in tricity chandigarh

Introduction: Yoga is the most ancient action-discipline system known in the world whose exercises help people to cope with stress. Coping has been defined as the process of managing demands (external or internal) that are appraised as taxing or exceeding the resources of the person. Objectives: To study the coping of stress among yoga performers and non yoga performer in Chandigarh tricity i.e. Panchkula, Chandigarh and Mohali. Result: Overall 168 out of 200 questionnaires distributed were completely filled without missing any item.

Analysis of proteic serum profile for evaluation of cow's milk protein allergy of the patients attended at a healthcare teaching hospital laboratory

Introduction: Allergy to cow's milk is one of the frequent food allergies.Limiting the applicability of oral tests necessitates the need for alternative protein components serum exams. Aim: To evaluate the serum levels of alpha-lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, casein and total cow's milk protein by the analysis of exams performed in patients of both genders; to quantify the results of the examinations carried out by the health care systems-Public or Private.

Effectiveness of antenatal exercises and yoga on biophysiological parameters like temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure among antenatal women

Safe maternity with improved neonatal outcome is expected on proper antenatal care services. Exercise has become a fundamental aspect of women's lives and an important constituent of antenatal care. The aim of the study includes toevaluate the effectiveness of antenatal exercises with yoga on biophysiological parameters like temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure among antenatal women. The research design adopted to this study includes “True-experimental, pre-test, post-test control group design” .sample: antenatal mothers who are in second trimester of pregnancy.

Weaknesses in the care of patients with pressureinjury: perception of nurses

The pressure ulcer, identified as any wound in tissues with prolonged exposure under bone protuberances, has, in the Intensive Care Unit, determining and high-incidence factors to its emergence, being characterized as an indicator of quality of care, emphasizing the action of Nursing in the care. This is a qualitative, descriptive, exploratory research, developed at a public hospital unit, with 16 nurses, which aimed to identify the weaknesses of nurses regarding the care to pressure ulcer, using a semi-structured instrument.

Giant non-hodgkin's lymphoma of the face

The facial localization of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas is exceptionally rare. Their clinical presentation and radiological not specific. The diagnosis is histological. Their treatment relies on chemotherapy with often localized irradiation. We report a case of a chronic hemi facial swelling which was diagnosed as an extra nodal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This paper explains the mode of presentation of extra nodal lymphoma in the maxillofacial soft tissues.

Caregiver's perception of gastro-gastric patients regarding home care

The objective of the study was to identify the perception of caregivers of gastro-gastric patients regarding the preparation for home care. This is an exploratory / descriptive study, structured from a qualitative and field research conducted in Santa Maria - RS, with caregivers of patients who have endoscopic gastrostomy and who provide home care. Data collection was performed from March to April 2018, until their saturation, ten participants underwent semi-structured interview, data analysis followed the criteria proposed by Bardin.
