Introduction: Immunization is a health prevention program designed to combat infectius diaseases.Considered to be cost-effective and effective, are particularly important in developing countries, whict have poor health conditions and resources for public health actions, it is the responsibility of the nurse advises mothers on the benefits of vaccines and avoiding avoidance. Objective: it was to investigate the difficulties that mothers face in keeping the childhood immunization schedule up to date, based on this information, strategies that can reduce circumvention can be developed. Methodology: This is a descriptive, exploratory and field research with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Results and Discussions: During the research carred out in the vaccine delays associated with lack of time knowledge regarding immunization, and a good part of our sample had a low level of schooling. Nursing oriented mothers’ awareness tends to break paradigms regarding delayed vaccination. Conclusion: In view of the guidelines given by the nurses of the Basic Units of Family Health, there a great ashesion to the vaccines, causing the evasion to have a significant decrease in the locality is still on of the causes of the evasion.
