This study aims at evaluating the prescription of serum protein electrophoresis and at analysing the different electrophoretic profiles found in current practice at the biochemistry laboratory of the University Hospital Center of Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona. This is a descriptive retrospective study over a period of 8 months from November 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. All patients with serum protein electrophoresis prescription were included. In total, 77 serum protein electrophoresis were collected with 38 female and 39 male sera.

Lignin contained in the black liquor generated during alkaline delignification of cellulose for bioethanol production was precipitated with H2SO4 and evaluated as biosorbent of Pb(II) ions in aqueous solution. Experimental design (DOE) and response surface methodology (RSM) were carried out in order to reduce the number of experiments and achieve the best conditions for biosorption procedure. Three factors at three levels were studied: initial pH (3; 4 and 5), biosorbent mass (50 mg; 100 mg and 150 mg), and initial Pb(II) concentration (40 mg L-1; 60 mg L-1 and 80 mg L-1).

Problematizaremos o papel da escola e sua importância para a alfabetização científica dos estudantes. Serão discutidos os conceitos de alfabetização científica, letramento e enculturação científica, como estes se integram e se complementam.

Characterization of gum Arabic is of paramount importance especially when it is intended to be used as a natural additive in a wide spectrum of pharmaceutical and food industries. In this study, laboratory procedures as well as biochemical tests were used to investigate the effect of some bacteria species on the characteristics of Acacia Senegal var. Senegal gum Arabic stored for different periods. The results revealed that dried gum Arabic, kept under long-term storage, is more resistant to biodegradation than the freshly harvested one.

Quantitative cross-sectional study with application of two forms, the first comprising sociodemographic and clinical variables and the second consisting of the Beck Depression Inventory, applied from January to June 2019. Logistic regression was performed to identify associated factors for depression.

This research seeks to promote a discussion about Youth and Adult Education, with a focus on teaching. Its main objective is to understand the main challenges faced by EJA teachers at the Nair Duarte Municipal School and, as specific objectives, to outline the profile of EJA teachers, identify aspects of teaching practice and main challenges faced by teachers; and, to investigate the alternatives found by teachers to deal with the challenges.

Objetivo: avaliar o conhecimento e prática de idosas do município de Floriano-PI, sobre o exame citopatológico do colo do útero. Materiais e Métodos: É um estudo descrito-exploratório e transversal, quantitativo, realizado com 39 idosasatendidas em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde do referido município.Para coleta de dados, utilizou-se um formulário que contemplavaos dados socioeconômicos, características sexuais e relacionadas ao conhecimento e àprática sobre o exame citopatológico do colo do útero.

Purpose: Roti, kapda, makaan! Low income individuals in developing countries like India have time and again had very restricted access to resources and opportunities. Though such people do not lack access to finances all together, their need for financial services remains largely unexplored and invisible to formal financial systems. Low-income individuals being an important section of the Indian economy, any economy that grows and does little to promote the cause of such individuals is devoid of social purpose.

An effective, efficient and fair implementation of the consumer protection Act is sine qua non for promoting the culture of good governance and thereby ensuring the better promotion and protection of the rights of the consumers. If the rights of the consumers in relation to the quality of goods and services are assured and taken care of then there will be no cause for complaints. This situation would certainly create an atmosphere wherein the clients, customers and consumers would feel satisfied with the things needed most to them.

Este estudo trata-se de uma análise sobre o impacto das estrias na autoestima das mulheres. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e de abordagem quantitativa que foi realizado com 20 participantes do sexo feminino, com idades entre 20 e 40 anos que possuíssem estrias em alguma região do corpo. Para coleta dos dados aplicou-se um questionário online contendo 9 perguntas de múltipla escolha. Para analisar os dados utilizou-se a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo Temática Categorial.
