Prevalence of Diabetic Foot-Related Deformities and Associated Factors in People with Diabetes Mellitus

The objective of this study is to identify the frequency of osteoarticular deformities in the feet and their association with the risk for ulceration and reulceration in people with diabetes mellitus. This is a cross-sectional study carried out among individuals under monitoring at the State Reference Center for Diabetes Care and Endocrinology of Bahia, from November 2006 to February 2018.

Intubated Patients with acute Exacerbations of chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: What is Common risk factor for poor patient outcome?

Background: Approximately every fourth patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) will require intensive care unit (ICU) admission with further mechanical ventilation (MV) and therefore with high risk for development ventilator- associated pneumonia (VAP). Aim: The study was aimed to learn risk factors predicting in-hospital mortality among patients with AE COPD associated with VAP and to evaluate the modifiable risk factors in term on improvement of patient outcomes.

A Comparative study to assess the level of Haemoglobin level among delayed cord clamping and early cord clamping newborn baby in selected Hospital at Vijayapur District

Before the mid 1950s, the term early clamping was defined as umbilical cord clamping within 1 minute of birth, and late clamping was defined as umbilical cord clamping more than 5 minutes after birth. In a series of small studies of blood volume changes after birth, it was reported that 80–100 mL of blood transfers from the placenta to the newborn in the first 3 minutes after birth and up to 90% of that blood volume transfer was achieved within the first few breaths in healthy term infants.

Highly doped Metal Oxides substitute the Conventional Metals in Recent Plasmonic Materials

Highly doped metal oxides like Indium Tin Oxide can have metal like optical properties in the NIR frequency range. This paper aims to report the optical properties of highly doped metal oxides and its efficient use as substitute to metals in the excitation and propagation of surface plasmon polariton wave with the help of MATLAB simulations.

Evaluation of Nutritional status and heavy metal Contamination in selected Indigenous fish Species from Kollam Harbour, South West Coast of India

Fishes, an imperative source of easily digestible high-quality proteins, playing a vital role in human health. Marine pollution can increase the concentration of toxic metals in water and may affect fish health. The major objective of the present study was to determine the nutritional quality, condition factor and heavymetal concentration of edible fish species, fin fish Rastrelliger kanagurta(Cuvier, 1816), and shell fish Metapeneusdobsoni(Miers, 1878), collected from the Arabian Sea coast of Neendakara harbour, during the summer season (February) of 2019.
