Lyophilization is a process in which water transforms from a solid to a gaseous aggregate state in a medium of vacuum and low temperature. In this type of processing of natural extracts, the biologically active substances in their composition remain unchanged. The continuous processing (24 - 72 hours), including freezing and drying in vacuum conditions and temperature regime from - 30℃ to + 30℃, is associated with a high energy consumption, which is a disadvantage of the method.

Objective: This study aimed to know the occurrence of gestational syphilis cases in a municipality in the Brazilian Amazon from a historical series of cases. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional analysis with a quantitative approach was carried out from the official gestational syphilis notifications between 2015-2019, in the municipality of Ananindeua, state of Pará, northern Brazil. Results: Notified 421 cases of syphilis in pregnant women in the given period, with prevalence of cases between 2015 and 2016 (43%).

Magnesium hydroxide is an important inorganic compound that is largely used in many industrial processes. It can beobtained through the hydroxylation of magnesia, followed by comminution and drying step. In this context, the present work aims to evaluate if theexcess of hydroxylation reaction heat can be used in the subsequent step of product drying, developing and simulating the mass and energy balances in the system. Hydroxylation tests were carried outwith magnesia from mineral source, in a non-adiabatic reactor with25 % initial solids concentration.

Assim, sendo necessário acompanhar a visão dos graduados ponderando a eficácia do ensino nas Instituições de Ensino. O estudo objetivou analisar à satisfação com as metodologias de ensino adotadas e a formação do Curso de Graduação. Estudo do tipo delineamento transversal envolvendo egressos do período de 2016 a 2018. Os dados foram coletados via web.

Nutritional Psychiatry is a term used to describe a field of research, and a way of approaching the prevention and treatment of mental illness, which focuses on diet and nutrition. Among the complexity of the determinants of Mental Health problems, the emerging evidence from Nutrition shows relevant factors in the high prevalence of mental disorders, suggesting that diet is as important for Psychiatry as for Cardiology and Endocrinology.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is considered the most prevalent form of dementia in the elderly and represents the fifth leading cause of death in this population. In addition, free radicals seem to play a fundamental role in brain aging, since several studies have found an association between cytotoxicity promoted by the accumulation of βA and oxidative stress. In this context, Resveratrol (RSV) is a polyphenol that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. However, its mechanism of action in elderly AD is still unclear.

Objetivou-se com o presente estudo avaliar a prevalência de lesões por pressão (LPPs) em pacientes internados em um hospital privado de Teresina-PI. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico de campo de caráter descritivo, retrospectivo com abordagem quantitativa, realizado por meio dos prontuários dos pacientes internados. A coleta englobou as seguintes variáveis: sexo; faixa etária; peso; cor da pele; motivo da internação; escore da Escala de Braden; data de internação; utilização ou não de medicamentos de uso contínuo; desenvolvimento de LPP durante o período de internação; e local da LPP.

Demographically, it is said that the future will be formed by an elderly population, not only because fertility has been systematically reduced, but also due to the fact that human life expectancy is higher. This is the result of advances in several areas of science. One of the convenient results of this process is the fact that in terms of pathologies the number of deaths has been reduced. Thus, this work aims to make an analysis in the timeline about the coverage of immunizations in the mesoregions of Amazonas.

The present work aims to carry out a comparative analysis between private (IP) and federal (IF) institutions, crossing the degree of competence of the professors of the administration course for the development in teaching, research and extension, in understanding the importance of their work the process of training future professionals. It is an original work of an exploratory and descriptive character, an intentional multi case. The collection was carried out in the second half of 2019, with a population of 40 teachers.
