The objective of the article is to discuss the opportunity of family farming as a means to ensure sustainable local development in Brazil. In methodological terms, the research can be classified as qualitative and descriptive. For data collection, the research can be classified as bibliographic and documentary. The results indicate that family farming is an important source of job and income generation, contributes to gender equality and preservation of woods and forests.

The growth of environmental awareness and preservation and the search for new ways to manage natural resources can minimize the predatory occupation of the Amazon. As a result of this fact, civil society and public authorities developed the Green Municipality project, as a strategy to reconcile production with good environmental practices, in the municipality of Paragominas, state of Pará, Brazil.

This thesis is entitled, "The Role and Motivation of a Teacher in the Teaching and Learning Process with a Case Study at the technical high schools, vocational group of industry (THSV-GI) becora-dili,". The purpose of this study was to find out how the teaching duties and learning motivation of the THSV-GI Becora-Dili Industrial Vocational School students during the teaching and learning process and improving the quality of student learning.

In this article we discuss two recent Brazilian Supreme Court judgments about crimes committed during the civil-military dictatorship: Allegation of Disobedience of Fundamental Precept suit n. 153 (constitutionality of the 1979 amnesty law), and Extradition suit n. 1362, that discussed the extradition of an Argentine citizen who was convicted of committing crimes against humanity during the Argentine dictatorship).

A geração de resíduos sólidos é uma preocupação da sociedade à medida que a população cresce, visto que é diretamente proporcional o quantitativo de resíduos sólidos produzidos. Na cidade de Goiânia, localizado no centro oeste do Brasil, evolução do programa de resíduos sólidos se deu com a implantação dos Ecopontos como resultado das políticas públicas do país e com vistas à preocupação socioambiental, de saúde pública e inovação para se criar novos hábitos na separação do lixo orgânico e reciclável, além de desenvolver novas oportunidades de trabalho e de a inclusão social.

Purpose: Approximately 25% of people 55 and older have had knee pain, and about half of them have symptomatic knee osteoarthritis (OA). A new nutraceutical, undenatured collagen II (UC-II), has been studied in knee OA patients. The objective was to evaluate the effect of using undenatured type II collagen in subjects with knee OA. Methods: A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized controlled trial with 40 patients with grade I-III knee OA, randomized into collagen group (CG) and placebo collagen group (PCG).

Introdução: O Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar, com base nos achados da literatura, a segurança e a eficácia do implante por cateter de bioprótese valvar aórtica (TAVR) com ênfase no tratamento de pacientes com estenose aórtica. Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, de caráter qualitativo. A busca ocorreu na base de dados do MEDLINE. Os artigos foram coletados a partir de janeiro de 2010. Foram utilizados os descritores: “estenose da valva aórtica” e “implante de prótese valvular cardíaca”, localizados na lista de Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DECs).

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of laser therapy for the evolution of immunomodulatory markers and physiological parameters in patients with COVID-19 with moderate to high risk of death. Twenty seriously diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were selected for the study, which were divided into two groups: control (who did not receive the treatment) and laser (who received the treatment), selected through non-blind randomization. The laser was administered in five areas: pulmonary area, face, tonsillar fossae, trachea, and bronchi.

This article discusses quality of life and its association with health promotion, qualified as an integrated strategy for healthy people in healthy organizations.
