Diabetes mellitus is a chronic non-communicable disease that has been growing and gaining concern in recent decades.The objective was to describe the conditions for monitoring users with type 2 diabetes mellitus in ten Family Health Strategies (FHS), in the city of Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil.It was a descriptive cross-sectional study carried out with 611 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, with secondary data from medical records, which were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire containing socioeconomic variables and monitoring of the disease.The results indicated that

The educator and the educational practices in hospital spaces: conceptual and contextual epistemologies

This article aims to demonstrate the importance of hospital pedagogy as a field of knowledge and the need of the professional of this field, the hospital pedagogue, to act in the scope of the multiprofessional health team, not only as a doctor, psychologist or nurse, but as an educator/teacher who makes the teaching-learning process possible in peculiar circumstances in which the ill schoolchild is inserted. Methodologically, this is a theoretical-epistemological study, of exploratory-descriptive type as to the content of the sources.

Performance of the multiprofessional gerontological team to patients in post covid-19 treatment: a case study

Objective: To report the multiprofessional gerontological care provided in the hospital context to an elderly person with multiple complications caused by coronavirus infection. Methods: This is a case study with a 63-year-old male patient treated at a reference hospital for the treatment of coronavirus infection. A multidisciplinary approach was carried out, based on health care instruments for the elderly used by the gerontological team during hospitalization and post-discharge care.

Assessment of female engagement in processing low cost or no cost agricultural products for self-reliance in Jigawa State, Niger

This study focuses on Jaya community in Jigawa State, Nigeria. It seeks to identify some agricultural plants, trees and grasses that do not require money or which very little money is needed to purchase with a view to empower rural women towards involvement in processing such products for self-reliance e.g. cassia, tamarind, sesame, moringa, hibiscus sabdriffa, sorghum, groundnuts, neems etc. The population of the study comprised all the women in Jaya community. The population was made up of 79 women. As intact community was used no sample was needed for the study.

Hygrothermal behavior analysis of construction systems applied to underground elements in high water tables

The moisture problems in buildings that present underground and semi-underground elements with high water table levels affect technical and economic decisions. This article shows several analysis of the mechanisms involved in moisture and heat transport, taking into account two different seasons, a rainy and a dry one, for the years of 2001 and 2002, in Brasília, Brazil, employing the WUFI 2D-3 program. Applying known data and program inputs, it was possible to present hygrothermal characteristics of the materials and variation of groundwater.

Zoning the physical environment as a subsidy to the management and spatial planning in amazonian conservation units and surroundings - the case of the jamari national forest

The current rates of population growth impose on society the increasingly rationaliseduse of spaces. In this sense, the use of zoning can help the understanding of socio-economic and environmental dynamics that would orient the use and occupation of spaces, identifying relationships and impacts on capacity and agricultural aptitude, as well as subsidisingthe implementation of spatial planning policies.

Cobertura vacinal da bacille calmette - guerin (bcg) na região norte e as perspectivas futuras diante a queda da imunização

Objetivo: Avaliar a cobertura vacinal para BCG na região Norte e relatar as perspectivas futuras diante a incidência da tuberculose. Métodos: Estudo observacional, transversal e descritivo da cobertura vacinal para BCG e o Coeficiente de Incidência para TP, TM e MTBC no Norte, de 2010- 2019. Resultados: Foi observada queda na coberturada BCG desde 2016, com baixa nos estados e municípios em 2019 apresentando média máxima para RR (73,9%) e mínima no PA (46,5%).
