Psychological interventions and social worker support mechanisms for stroke rehabilitation: a review
This review critically examines the role of psychological interventions and social support mechanisms in the rehabilitation of stroke patients. Stroke not only impacts physical health but also significantly affects emotional and cognitive well-being. Psychological interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) have shown promising results in addressing post-stroke depression, anxiety, and cognitive impairments.
