Síndrome de waardenburg tipo 1: relato de caso

A síndrome de Waardenburg (SW) é caracterizada por um distúrbio hereditário raro, com transmissão autossômica dominante e expressividade variável, sendo causada por mutações em diferentes genes, principalmente o gene PAX3. Essas mutações afetam a função de diversas células pluripotentes da crista neural que dão origem a diferentes tipos de células, incluindo melanócitos da pele e da orelha interna, levando a alterações como a perda auditiva neurossensorial congênita não progressiva, telecanto, distúrbios pigmentares de íris, cabelo e pele.

Transtornos de ansiedade e depressão em trabalhadores da equipe de enfermagem de um hospital público da região sudeste do pará

A atividade do profissional de enfermagem no setor hospitalar está relacionada a um grande número de doenças, e apesar de o hospital ser uma instituição de promoção à saúde,o ambiente hospitalar pode desencadeartranstornos mentais como a ansiedade e a depressão nos profissionais de enfermagem. O objetivo do estudo foi identificar o índice de sintomas de transtornos de ansiedade e depressão na equipe de enfermagem do âmbito hospitalar.

Survey of mortality from bone tumors in Brazil in the last 10 years

Introduction: Despite being rare, primary malignant bone tumors have a high morbidity and mortality rate. Currently, there is an increase in mortality from this type of tumor in Brazil. Aim: To analyze the demographic profile and temporal trend of mortality from bone tumors in Brazil in the last 10 years. Methodology: This is an exploratory descriptive study carried out in Brazil with a survey of the number of deaths due to primary bone tumors in the period from 2009 to 2019. The platform of the Department of Informatics of the SUS (DATASUS) was used, selecting the variables.

Analysis of the efficiency of recycled concrete in civil construction

Sustainability has become a partner in matters involving civil engineering considering that the generation of construction waste produces similar amounts in Brazil to the industrial sector, where, moreover, most cannot be ruled out in any way, because they are harmful to the environment, some of which are irreparable. The emergence of techniques and ways to build sustainably has created ideas and new destinations for construction waste. Recycled concrete is one of the solutions adopted to reduce costs with new materials and appropriate treatment to waste generated by the civil council.

Analysis of insertion and return loss measurements in mechanical fiber optic connectors

This article analyzes fiber optic connectorizations used in data transmission. In this analysis, optical loss measurementsismade in mechanical connectors such as Insertion Loss (IL) and Return Loss (RL) based on the certification requirements for the commercialisation of telecommunications products by the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) and international standards. In addition to the fundamental theoretical argument, we performed an evaluation of field-mounted connectors from ten different manufacturers sold in Brazil.

Abilities of Citrus limon (L.) Burm. f., Citrus tangelo and Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck at propagation by cuttings in sandy soil

Coming from the Latin acrumen which means sour, the word citrus was given in antiquity to trees with acid fruits. Indeed, citrus fruits refer to several species, the best known of which are oranges, grapefruits, mandarins, clementines and lemons. Species of the genus Citrus are well known but very little studied in Niger. It is with the aim of providing more data that the present study was carried out. The general objective was to study the ability to propagate by cuttings in three citrus species (Citrus limon, Citrus tangelo and Citrus sinensis).

Dye yielding plant species of Vijayapur District of Karnataka, India

Dye yielding plant species survey of Vijayapur district of Karnataka comprising 13 tehsil was conducted during March 2018 to November 2022. The purpose of this survey was to document the dye yielding plant species. The present study was initiated with an aim to identify dye yielding plant species resources from elder people, shepherds, and formers of Vijayapur district. There are about 35 species of angiosperms belonging to 35 genera and 26 families of dye yielding plant species were found.

Experiência extensionista no curso de arquitetura e urbanismo da universidade são francisco: Narrativas da sala de aula

Este trabalho discute as potencialidades de desenvolvimento via extensão universitária no ensino superior no Brasil. A partir de uma narrativa autobiográfica, a professora revisita sua atuação em sala de aula junto a um componente curricular que promove uma ação de extensão universitária no curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade São Francisco.

Assessment of the impact of organic and mineral manure (bat guano, tithonia diversifolia and npk) on the evolution of some physico-chemical parameters of soil fertility during maize cultivation in ngandajika/rdcongo

Soil is a fundamental resource for man’s life on earth, most of the goods he needs coming directly or indirectly from the soil. This is not done without compensation in favour of the soil, which loses its productive capacity over time. Compensation is made through the provision of both mineral and organic fertilizers to the soil. A trial was conducted in Ngandajika where it was applied to the soil, two organic fertilizers, Bat-guano and Tithonia diversifolia, a mineral fertilizer, DAP for growing corn.

Effect of ayurvedic formulation on severe oligospermia (ksheenshukra) - A case study

Producing progeny is a natural gift given by the mother nature to the living organism, and it is an important part of human life as well. Therefore, infertility is viewed as a highly physical and emotional problem in Indian society.About half of infertility cases are caused by male factors. Approximately 35% of infertile men are due to oligospermia. There is no promising cure for this disease, but Ayurvedic preparations often show significant improvements in semen parameters. Oligospermia can be corelated with the Ksheenshukra entity in the Ayurvedic literature.
