Modeling and analysis of a small photovoltaic fuel cell hybrid system

This paper presents hybrid power generation systems which consist of following main components: photovoltaic arrays (pv), an electrolyzer system and proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC). The hybrid scheme inherently adapts to the changes in irradiation or load. An easy and accurate method of modeling photovoltaic arrays is proposed. The model and fuzzy based control strategies are combined to form intelligent controllers that are more accurate and robust.

Standalone microgrid using PV array with CSI

In this paper, Photovoltaic (PV) array is connected to a Current Source Inverter (CSI) fed load. The application of solar PV panel output as input to CSI is plating industry. The advantage of the proposed micro-grid is the rumination of DC-DC converter of traditional PV systems. In addition to this, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is also been implemented for generating constant current at the source of CSI.

Energy management system and developments in smart grid

Energy Management System Decentralized architecture that uses regional energy management, Information technology (IT). It is computer aided used for control, monitor performance optimization in transmission system. The control and monitoring uses advance application like SCADA PMU etc. This paper deals with a brief review on EMS and its development in smart grid system.

Design of dual mode fuzzy logic load frequency controller for interconnected power systems using superconducting magnetic energy storage unit

A design of dual mode fuzzy logic load frequency controller for interconnected two area thermal power systems with superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) unit is proposed in this paper. Nowadays due to increase in size, increased demand and complexity in interconnected power system, load frequency controller has become more significant. SMES technology has the potential to bring real power storage characteristics to the utility transmission and distribution systems.

Analysis of various carrier modulation schemes for modified CHB multilevel inverter with half-bridge cell

This paper comprises of various Carrier overlapping PWM scheme with performance evaluation for Modified Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter (M-CHB-MLI). This topology consists of a Half Bridge cells DC voltage sources. Instead of 16-controlled switches used in conventional topology for 9-level output voltage, only twelve controlled switches are required for Modified Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter topology which in turn reduces the complexity and also improves its performance parameters.

Non-chaotic dc-dc converter for solar/wind energy applications by variable structure control

Solar and wind promises to be a clean supply of renewable energy. The variation in the energy level of these sources due to various environmental factors can put together the entire system into chaos. This necessitates robust DC-DC converters that can manage the nonlinear input as well as load discrepancy while staying in the desired operating range. This paper proposes a robust variable structure controller that ensures the stability of the converter over a wide operating range. This makes the converter suitable for energy sources with nonlinear voltage-current characteristics.

Design of single-input fuzzy logic control of fly back multi-output quasi resonant converter

Power supply voltages in digital systems have been reduced considerably in recent years and often digital components requiring different voltages are present in the same board. This has increased the demand for multiple output power distribution systems with tight load regulation. In this paper, a detailed analysis and design of a multi-output fly back zero voltage switching (ZVS) quasi resonant converter (QRC) has been carried out.

The effect of cardiac rehabilitation on performing self-care activities based on orem’s self-care model among elderly people suffering from congestive heart failure; a randomized double-blind control

Introduction: Congestive heart failure (CHF) is one of the most common diseases among elderly people in which lack of knowledge about self-care can lead to negative consequences. Cardiac rehabilitation is one of the most important methods of therapy. Using Orem’s self-care model can also help the patient perform self-care activities.
Objectives: Investigating the effect of the cardiac rehabilitation on performing self-care based on Orem’s self-care model in elderly people suffering from CHF.

Attitude of customers towards celebrity advertisements

Celebrity advertisement practices are growing tremendously, this field has been developed with the various theories and models. These theories and models provide guidance to the implementation of celebrity advertisement. the use of celebrity advertisement in marketing communication is not a recent data. Celebrities have endorsed products since the late nineteenth century. One of the first marketing campaigns involved Queen Victoria endorsing Cadbury’s cocoa in the United Kingdom.

Theological engagement with endogenous development: A case study amongst the Nsenga (Zambia)

Development takes place in many forms. There is a need for a kind of development that meets the needs and people’s aspirations in life. The question of this research is: what could the role of theology and the church be towards an endogenous development process that is culturally orientated to the Nsenga ethnic group of Zambia? The study is based on the working hypothesis that endogenous development provides the platform where the grassroots organisations and people become subjects of their own human development and transformation in life and society.
