Studies on carrot incorporated soypaneer

In the present study of formulation of carrot incorporated Soypaneer, the principle ingredients used were carrot, soybeans, and citric acid (coagulant). Carrot pulp was incorporated in soypaneer in two different ratios of 10% and 20%. A carrot incorporated soypaneer with improved colour, appearance, flavour, texture, and nutritional value was formulated. The product was assessed for its sensory and nutritional properties. The soypaneer incorporated with 20% carrot has almost equal acceptance to the milk paneer in terms of taste, nutritional value and acceptability.

Usefulness of bixa orellana leaf extract against some veterinary pathogens

Bixa orellana L. is a highly cultivable plant because of its adaptable characteristic and suitability of growth in open location.  Its seeds are used for culinary and industrial purposes.  Recently, B. orellana is shown to possess bioactive substance that can cure common infections. In this investigation, the potential of B. orellana as antibacterial plant is examined through its minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) towards Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Salmonella pullorum and Pasteurella multocida.

An innovative prosthetic technique for space closure in mandibular anterior region

The dental patient with a missing anterior tooth has several fixed treatment options such as implant prosthesis, resin bonded prosthesis, fibre-reinforced composite restoration, metal-ceramic fixed partial denture (FPD) and metal-free FPDs. The laboratory procedures related to these modalities necessitate additional time and cost. However, the clinician is often posed with the problem of rehabilitating a patient with suitable alternative on an urgent basis.

Views of student teachers and lecturers on challenges faced in the implementation of the Zimbabwe integrated teacher education (ZINTEC) teacher preparation programme

This study sought to find out the views of student teachers and lecturers on the challenges faced in the implementation of the ZINTEC programme.  The multiple case study design was used and five teacher colleges participated in this study.  The purposive sampling technique was used to select the participants. The participants included student teachers and lecturers.

Diplomacy as a panacea for resolving the Boko Haram insurgence in northern Nigeria: Implication for national integration

For over a decade now, the country have been experiencing violence attack by a group of insurgence popularly called boko haram. This group have created a lot of threat in the country which the government have been trying to curb out the mennence by using force. This paper however examine diplomacy as a panacea for resolving the Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram insurgence in the country. Some literatures on the subject matter were reviewed while secondary sources were employed to analyze the issues therein.

Knowledge management and performance of selected manufacturing firms in Anambra State of Nigeria

Most firms in Anambra State are not investing much on KM and this has placed them at the mercy of their competitors in the business. The main objective of this study is to examine the extent to which knowledge sharing affects competitive advantage of manufacturing firms in Anambra State. The study adopted a destructive survey design. Questionnaire was utilized for the study. Z test was used to analyze the data and the findings revealed that there is no significant difference between knowledge sharing and competitive advantage.

Use of information technology in technical services: A survey of university libraries of Lahore

Information technology is currently taking center stage and has transformed the whole world into a global village with a global economy, which is increasingly dependent on the creative management and distribution of information. IT has enormous advantages and eased the delivery of information in third world as well.
